I think it's fair to record if you want, but be reasonable. If you have a shitty camera, it's not worth it. if you can get a decent video worthy of watching on YT, then go ahead for people who couldn't be at the show. And of course if it's a rare song, then definitely record it.
fair do's then mate for showning some considation.. I waited since 1973 to see alice cooper sing 'I love the dead' and at Download I had to watch it through a sea of phones and camera's.. some people were even recording the big screens..
It's fair enough if people take a couple of snaps, but to hold a camera up for a whole set is out of order. I've had to mosh across a crowd before to be able to see the stage again instead of camera screens, so I always try to be considerate. Sorry about Alice Cooper, I heard he did an amazing set though.
more fucking camera's being held up.. just stop it.. keep the 'live' memory in yer head and dont prove to me that you were there.. to many live gigs are fucked by idiots holding phones/cams up..... just buy the video.... download was full of idiots with cams
I hold my camera at head height, so the only thing the people behind me saw was the back of my head. I also asked if they minded or if I was blocking their view.
Nearly 25,000 views of my 3 Darkness videos means that other people want to see it too, it seems...
@aston108 Personally, i get home, and think about what awesome time i had, and want to re-live it, and show my mates who couldn't afford to go. I understand it might be frustrating, but you must admit its great to watch videos of it on here?
My idea, which i said to my mate, festivals and gigs should be filmed, all of it. Then sell each band separately for say £5.
@Rammstein6001 It's a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. The 10x zoom means it doesn't look like you're at the back even though you're in the moshpit like other cameras can.
What was this recorded on? a baked bean can and string? audio is chronic

@JTJUDAS They did. Now if they managed to maintain it instead of falling off, they would've been legends by now.

Yeah, hopefully they come to the States.
I found out about this band when they split up. I was disappointed... but now hopefully I have a chance to see them live.
