i cant believe how many people have been rude about this video. I find you videos very educational and your dogs are far closer to breed standard than a lot of dogs on here. I exhibit chis in the UK (am yet to have my first litter) and for those who think i will make money.. ive spent thousands of pounds on showing and health testing my dogs before ive had a litter and i will only ever breed for something for myself!!!

You don't even know me but are making assumptions on my breeding practices. I DO have a job and don't make money on breeding my dogs, I have a job to help support Me & My dogs. I would suggest that you attack the puppy mills and back yard breeders that never use a vet or aren't even there when their females are giving birth.
Lady stop using these tiny animals to make a living, this is hard on the little dog just like it is for you to a have kids one after another This hurts the dog having babies that much! and what you put her through for the all mighty dollar! break down and go out and get a job and not make that tiny creature support you , it is killing her! JonesChihuahua puppies also dewormed, dew claws removed, tattooed and have had their first set of vaccinations. They are also CKC registered. They come with a care package of food, toys, blankets and a DVD of pictures/videos of your pup. Let me ask you, where do you think the money is going? To the pups.. -Heather

I dont think the Vet is qualified to any extent... If u look at the video repeatedly, u can find that the Vet or who ever that man is actually squeezed the pup and forced it by twisting its head and pulling it out wit force..!! Its totally his fault... Sue him !!

People that judge should not. I had to stay calm with every birth and if I loose my disposition and show my fear or that I am upset, the dogs can sense it. I lost $10,000.00 breeding Pure Bred CKC Reg'd Chihuahuas in 2010. The money doesn't matter to me. If you talk to anyone who has my dogs, they know my dogs come first. You can't say that with the over 50,000 puppy mills in Canada or the USA. Get to know me, come visit me, then judge me.

If I didn't love my dogs, I would not have rushed her to the vet. 2010 I spent $13,000.00 on vet bills for dental, shots, health checks and much more, because I love my dogs.

Ohh that was so painful to watch! :( I can't imagine how difficult it was for you to have to go through that and how helpless you must have felt..I couldnt imagine seeing on of my beloved pets in so much pain and not being able to do much. Sad....Is very sad.....same thing happened with my toy poodle, however my Vet and I opted for the cesarian as soon as we walked in the door, we lost no puppies, and my girl had a hysterectomy during surgery to prevent hemorage. I have Chihuahua's now, but my girl is my world, so she will not be having babies. I could never give her children away, and would end up being the Chihuahua lady living on the corner... My take on it is, the vet had to pull, but why wasn't the vet using the grip cloth?
Oh PLEASE! This woman (whom I have spoken to on the phone) knows what shes doing! She has een breeding for years now, so if you have never bred or delivered dogs, dont speak!
oh my gosh, this is so horrible. I don't know if that guy was a vet or what, but you don't yank a puppy out of the mother's while giving birth! They should've let nature take its course. Not only did they hurt the puppy but they were hurting that poor mother dog. That guy was pulling and pressing on that puppy way too hard!!
I have to agree with "luvthefach". I have never personally delivered any pup's but I have witnessed, n have a child. That vetrinarian WAS pulling way to hard, and just as a HUMANS physicain would do to help deliver a Human child, the same for an animal. (Contd) This lady had her dog at the Vet for help, where I live if the dog is at the vet you have no say as to what they do to you animal. If they hurt your animal you have to suck it up, pay the bill and find a new vet. I drive an hour from where I live to go to a good vet for my dogs and it's well worth the trip. I get quality Vet care, and the vet is a country vet so he's not worried about making you pay $70 for annual shots. So people, think before you berate someone you don't know
To all of these extremely ignorant people: If you have never bred dogs do not SPEAK! You are being extremely disrespectful to a woman that you do not know (No, I do not know her.) I have bred Golden Retrievers and I know the heartbreak and joys of doing so. I also have the COMMON SENSE to realize that the VET was so wrong in the delivery of this pup. You aren't supposed to pull straight out you are supposed to pull downward w/ a forward angle so as to not hurt the mother and pup.
This is not the same dog that was in my video Chili's long hard labour. That dog was black tri and was Ruby. The dog in this video is Jewels and this was her first and last litter of pups.
May be you should read though the information given about the video. The dog was at the VET and the VET was doing the pulling... IT was not animal abuse to check around the cervix to see were the pups head was. Any intelligent person would understand that I, posted this video so people would not have to go through what I had to go through. The VET was in the wrong and I have not used this vet clinic since. Since the video I go to another Qualified VET.
@Joneschihuahuas I had a similar incident happen with a litter of pomeanians and I ended up losing 2 puppies and paying for an emergency csection to save the third puppy. I was heartbroken. =(

I see that before same thing goat female gave birth stuck inside baby wrong way should head out but stuck block butt then few hour later baby goat died i did help her out baby and same idea human mother give birth stuck baby inside no different to me . if i have a dog is pregnant and I not mind help safe puppies and mother dog never let them died no way.
My hubby had to help our babies out when they gave birth. Our first chihuahua had 2 liters of 3 both 2 from both liters died. Our second chihuahua which was the daughter of our male, gave birth to 5 with 2 making it. My hubby got in there to help born the pups but once they were born he let mommies bond with babies.
First of all, where was the sad part of the story? Second, not to be rude, but you should had only 1 person assisting her! Then once the pup was born, back off! By mommy cleaning baby, thats where the mommy to baby bonding starts then..

stop posting bad comments the breeder did the right thing. I have a chihuahua and i know that they are so little that its very hard and risky for them to have pups. this breeder knows what to do for the chihuahuas needs. also read the description. the breeder was lucky enough that it wasnt serious but it could have been something different and the chihuahua and her 2 other pups could have died. i would have done the exact same thing.

How is is mean to take your dog to the vet? If my daughter was to have a baby and she had complications I would take her to the hospital and would think that the doctor would know how to help my daughter. I know of many breeders that wouldn't take their dogs to the vet because it cost money. I am not like that and I spent $700.00 for that vet appointment because it was after hours. My female Jewels lived and she had 2 healthy pups.

I have not prostituted my dogs and I have 4 children, the last child I was in labour for 16 hours and it was back labour the most painful labour you could ever have, I ripped inside and out, 39 stitches. I would do it all over again, because I have my beautiful little girl that will grow up to be a wonderful parent herself. I guess you won't be having any children & you will be adopting your children.

i cant even believe what i just had to watch. That vet should have KNOWN better than to let a birth take that long, there is actions to take after something is taking that long, that is unbelievable. Nothing the breeder did wrong. I'm glad your seeing another vet who can hopefully give these animals a chance to take their first breath. I am in tears, that man should have his license taken away. Mama, I would strongly suggest that you have no more litters, especially with the canine over-population present today and due to your ignorance in this particular situation. This is almost grounds for animal removal if it were on my watch, I would push for charges. Not knowing what your doing and hiring the wrong ppl are not an excuse for animal abuse mama. I'm really worried you'll continue breeding.
If I was a irresponsible breeder, I would have NOT gone to the vet in the middle of the night. I would have just let my dog die. BUT I am NOT a irresponsible breeder, I took my Dog to the VET. I got the vet that was on Call and not my regular VET. I had no control on who I got for a vet. It was the first time I bred this female and I had her spayed and pet homed after she had her pups like any RESPONSIBLE breeder. Since this video was taken, I am going to another VET in ....
...the next town. Don't point your finger with out knowing everything. Have you even read my responses form other people. I love my dogs. I breed for the breed. I Don't make big money like so many people think. I have a job just to make sure all my dogs needs are taken care of. Come visit me anytime and see for yourself.

Aww dont worry about the negative comments, ppl obviously dont understand what the chances of birth are with dogs, esp chihuahua's, odds are at least one baby pup wont make it, when I adopted my little chi Sid, he was the 4th pup to come out and by the time the 5th came out, he didnt make it, it happens, jus like human life, and at least you buried the pup, most ppl wouldnt

Sad....Is very sad.....same thing happened with my toy poodle, however my Vet and I opted for the cesarian as soon as we walked in the door, we lost no puppies, and my girl had a hysterectomy during surgery to prevent hemorage. I have Chihuahua's now, but my girl is my world, so she will not be having babies. I could never give her children away, and would end up being the Chihuahua lady living on the corner... My take on it is, the vet had to pull, but why wasn't the vet using the grip cloth?

oh my gosh, this is so horrible. I don't know if that guy was a vet or what, but you don't yank a puppy out of the mother's while giving birth! They should've let nature take its course. Not only did they hurt the puppy but they were hurting that poor mother dog. That guy was pulling and pressing on that puppy way too hard!!

I have to agree with "luvthefach". I have never personally delivered any pup's but I have witnessed, n have a child. That vetrinarian WAS pulling way to hard, and just as a HUMANS physicain would do to help deliver a Human child, the same for an animal. This is not wrong it is completly natural, and if you think that there is a problem with the birthing process then DON'T WATCH THE VIDEO!!!! Common Sence People common... (Contd) This lady had her dog at the Vet for help, where I live if the dog is at the vet you have no say as to what they do to you animal. If they hurt your animal you have to suck it up, pay the bill and find a new vet. I drive an hour from where I live to go to a good vet for my dogs and it's well worth the trip. I get quality Vet care, and the vet is a country vet so he's not worried about making you pay $70 for annual shots. So people, think before you berate someone you don't know

To all of these extremely ignorant people: If you have never bred dogs do not SPEAK! You are being extremely disrespectful to a woman that you do not know (No, I do not know her.) I have bred Golden Retrievers and I know the heartbreak and joys of doing so. I also have the COMMON SENSE to realize that the VET was so wrong in the delivery of this pup. You aren't supposed to pull straight out you are supposed to pull downward w/ a forward angle so as to not hurt the mother and pup.

This is not the same dog that was in my video Chili's long hard labour. That dog was black tri and was Ruby. The dog in this video is Jewels and this was her first and last litter of pups.

May be you should read though the information given about the video. The dog was at the VET and the VET was doing the pulling... IT was not animal abuse to check around the cervix to see were the pups head was. Any intelligent person would understand that I, posted this video so people would not have to go through what I had to go through. The VET was in the wrong and I have not used this vet clinic since. Since the video I go to another Qualified VET.

My hubby had to help our babies out when they gave birth. Our first chihuahua had 2 liters of 3 both 2 from both liters died. Our second chihuahua which was the daughter of our male, gave birth to 5 with 2 making it. My hubby got in there to help born the pups but once they were born he let mommies bond with babies.

nice job. its always sad when a puppy dies, puppys DO die, often at dog births which is why it helps to have so many puppys to ensure some survival.
These people need to understand that the puppy NEEDs to come out DEAD OR ALIVE. if it stays there it will surly die and put the bitch and other puppys at seriouse risk. some pups do get seriously stuck and it can take a while to pull them out, you cant yank it out in a second. so stop ur bitching i see no wrong doing here.

stop posting bad comments the breeder did the right thing. I have a chihuahua and i know that they are so little that its very hard and risky for them to have pups. this breeder knows what to do for the chihuahuas needs. also read the description. the breeder was lucky enough that it wasnt serious but it could have been something different and the chihuahua and her 2 other pups could have died. i would have done the exact same thing.

How is is mean to take your dog to the vet? If my daughter was to have a baby and she had complications I would take her to the hospital and would think that the doctor would know how to help my daughter. I know of many breeders that wouldn't take their dogs to the vet because it cost money. I am not like that and I spent $700.00 for that vet appointment because it was after hours. My female Jewels lived and she had 2 healthy pups.

I have not prostituted my dogs and I have 4 children, the last child I was in labour for 16 hours and it was back labour the most painful labour you could ever have, I ripped inside and out, 39 stitches. I would do it all over again, because I have my beautiful little girl that will grow up to be a wonderful parent herself. I guess you won't be having any children & you will be adopting your children.

i cant even believe what i just had to watch. That vet should have KNOWN better than to let a birth take that long, there is actions to take after something is taking that long, that is unbelievable. Nothing the breeder did wrong. I'm glad your seeing another vet who can hopefully give these animals a chance to take their first breath. I am in tears, that man should have his license taken away. Thats as bad as letting a baby die during birth because you dont know what the hell your doing.

I agree with omgitzmishh, I have my DVM and what I saw was disturbing. Mama, I would strongly suggest that you have no more litters, especially with the canine over-population present today and due to your ignorance in this particular situation. This is almost grounds for animal removal if it were on my watch, I would push for charges. Not knowing what your doing and hiring the wrong ppl are not an excuse for animal abuse mama. I'm really worried you'll continue breeding.

If I was a irresponsible breeder, I would have NOT gone to the vet in the middle of the night. I would have just let my dog die. BUT I am NOT a irresponsible breeder, I took my Dog to the VET. I got the vet that was on Call and not my regular VET. I had no control on who I got for a vet. It was the first time I bred this female and I had her spayed and pet homed after she had her pups like any RESPONSIBLE breeder. Since this video was taken, I am going to another VET in ....
