@HedgieDiva It's just because she isn't used to it. They are excellent natural swimmers. Just make sure the water temperature isn't too hot or cold. It's a great way to clean them as well. It will just take a bit of time to get used to.

@Wibnar No you don't! Hedgehog's are great swimmers just in case they fall in a river or pond they need to be able to get out! There are other hedgehogs on youtube that are really swimming! You shuld search it and learn a lesson!

@imthekingstar Not very. Doesn't hurt at all when the hedgie is relaxed unless you're trying to stab yourself. If it feels threatened it can hurt a little, and maybe sting for a bit, but on a scale of 1 to 10 it's about a 1 in pain. The shock of one puffing up while you're holding it far outweighs the pain.

the only reason I bathe him so much, is because when he runs on his wheel overnight, he poops in it, and it gets mushed into his feet and it dries like that. I dont want my hedgehog to have to live with poop all over his feet :P

Not mean at all - if you socialise them properly, they can be very sweet and loving pets. Koosh is a pretty unusual hedgehog though - even his vet has said that he's the friendliest hedgehog she's ever seen (he rarely balls up or puts his quills up).
