I have goose bumps!!! in the early nineties we were still making mixed tapes from records. That was how you knew you were liked. 10 years or so ago I was downsizing my crap. I had all these tape boxes with no tapes. I was going to toss them away when my future self to me to keep the jackets you will want to listen to these songs someday. That moment came just now when I was once again downsizing my crap. Came across the jackets and here I am. Thank you soo much for making me like I was 22 again
@morrissey042 One of my favorites. This song reminds me on the early 90s when I was in high school. I was the alternative guy that listen to Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles and The Doors, modern stuff like Nirvana, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, but knew bands like Sonic Youth, Lush, The Cure and groups like this.
Where is the immense Jim Beattie now?!?! Seems a loss to the world of music that he not about - I love his acid-Byrds-like guitar playing and music.!!!
@hoppybhoy71 they used to play in Greenock a lot. Seen them there a few times myself. Also seen Jim playing with Primal Scream in Greenock as well. I know Judith is from Kingspark in Glasgow and think Jim stayed in Mount Florida in Glasgow for a while. Jim trained as an architectural technician in Glasgow before going full time musician.
@roneugenius This album came out in 1992. Spirea X is one of those albums that should have been bigger, but never did. It is a great record and I actually have all their stuff on vinyl.

Its interesting that Spirea X 's founder was one of the original Primal Screams.

@BahmanG Primal Scream was Jim Beattie's band.
Bobby just stole the name after Jim left because it sounded cool.
