Hey geofg! Happy Birthday Nina! My birthday just passed as well ^^ I just wanted to tell you that I will be living in Nagoya for all of next year. I just got my placement this morning. I need to catch up on the videos and get back to making them myself. I just got back from an amazing summer teaching english at a summer camp in Tokyo. Can't wait to get back. I will be arriving in Nagoya on the 8th of september!

@Kumakame100 Thanks! We had a nice little birthday party here with my parents (Nina's grandparents). Since coming to the U.S. Nina has been speaking mostly in English, so any video from here will be in English, but I'm sure she will be happy to use Japanese again once we return to Japan. And, we did have sushi one day, and ramen another day, and Nina REALLY enjoyed both! Though, she also loves Mexican food and barbecue here!

@saadahnurul My wife doesn't work now. And, yeah, I am very lucky in that, as a foreign teacher in Japan, I have less responsibilities than my Japanese counterparts (I don't have to teach extra classes or lead club activities etc.), so I can leave school at 4:30 or 5:00 most days, and I have a lot of vacation days. And, I spend most of my free time with Nina.  It's a shame so many parents (and fathers in particular) don't get to spend much time with their kids.

This time we should be able to relax a bit more. That's great you'll have your mother and sister here for Ellie's birthday. One year old is such a fun age.

When you've recovered that is. 18-hour flights are only fun for single people like myself. Plus being vacation can actually be more stressful than being home. The memories are well worth it though.
