When this album came out, I think I read somewhere that Lenny played all the instruments himself except the sax and piano, and the microphone used was '69 model or smth like that in order to make the sound 'older'.

god I must be old-this album was recorded 20 years ago-very nice quality about this. stands up really well as he didn,t go overboard with production and put all that horribles 80s reverb on the drums-it still sounds current. yeah its definitely a classic-to my ears this album has more to do with john Lennon than Jimmy Hendrix.
