I've recently gotten into the anime (again) and actually listened to the opening theme (I always seemed to miss it whenever it came on). I listened to it for a bit on YouTube until I found this video.

Despite saying that the level of drawing in this is crap, as you say, the simplicity of this song reflects on the artwork itself, switching between stick figures and a bit of a more detailed style. Honestly, this is a great representation of the song, and it made me tear up a little.
