I really hope within these last seven years if you ever have another kid to NEVER EVER USE THESE TYPES OF JUMPERS. Hooking a latch on top of the doorway..Baby jumps latch comes flying down and instead of a happy baby we got a dead baby...probably one of the most unsafe inventions for babies

Not really. Most newer models have clamps, rather than latches, that allow a firm grip on a doorframe. Plus, most injuries to babies with equipment happen because of parental error. Directions are there for a reason. They're not supposed to be used when kids can walk or over (usually) 25 pounds. Not to mention babies LOVE these things and they're great for development.

I'll stick to the bouncers that are on the floor. Not with a clamp or latch that when released could kill my child.

You know, more injuries happen in those so called "stable" play structures than in Johnny Jump-Ups. Look up the fatalities in walkers every year. Bounchers can tip. They can break. They can fall off when parents put them on tables or couches. Everything is dangerous if not used correctly. Nothing can "assure your child's safety."
