I got into the top 16 before getting knocked out...great day, unfortunately I didn't sleep much the night before xD

I only got abut 2 hours sleep, my stupid Vital Spirit kept me awake ^_^

I had my team all ready almost a week before, all I had to worry about was getting up for the airport bus in the morning

I'm already working on my 2010 team - I just hope we get to keep Japan's rules, if not, then there's Pokémon I can use as substitutes.

Going to the VGC was the first time I went on a train without a parent, I love trains =3

i want to enter the vgc. can someone explain to me how i do enter?

I don't know if it'll be different this year but...

basically, you just turn up to the event, where you are handed a team sheet. You fill it in and hand it in at a counter, where they quickly check your game (literally checking it's version) before you sign a declaration with your contact details etc and confirming parental consent if you're under 18. Then, you are given a number.

20 minutes after registration is called, 128 numbers are called - if your number is called, you're entered.

I was 17 when I entered last year...I just faked it =3

but tbh, if you're too young to pass off as 18, it's best to get your parents to come anyway...last year it was in London, which is a good place for tourists anyway.

well im fairly sure i can pass of 18 :) ive done it a fair few times. i hope they call offthe japanese vgc rules though. i had an amost ready vgc team unil the rules changed for 2010.

VGC 2010 rules were announced earlier this month - they are Japan's rules.

We'll be finding out on March 26th, also, we have to use HeartGold or SoulSilver.

That would be me!! I got really worried when my memory card was getting full, could you image getting to the finals and not being able to record it!! After coming as far as I did, it would have been a nightmare!

Also walking into shot at 0:34 is Akira and Ace Matador from Smogon, and I'm pretty sure if you pause it at 0:37 that's me stood in the archway at the back. :D

I got to the Top 20, and then lost to my new friend. He lost in the next round, but we spend the afternoon with other players, just chatting and having drinks in the sun.
