@sitarnut We only went to view the 'for sale' bike on this boiling hot day, but ended up buying it. He would certainly not ride out on the road dressed like this, but it was on the previous owners private land.
Beautiful bike sir, back pot is a bit lean,we always went 10 bigger on the rear Amal because of the angle and the heat...I raced a red shadow at Duxford in the sixties,Ian Ashwell and George brown were good friends...
@MrBlackEp3 I think so, but don't have any accurate details as they end up all around the world. I do hope that they are all well looked after for obvious reasons.
boo66...This bike is also 60 years old and in perfect condition. We want to protect and preserve our 1950 Black Lightning, as it is a VERY rare piece of history. I understand what you are saying, but please understand we are very responsible people and know what we are doing.
Hello, We have not yet decided what to do as this bike is very valuable. It is such a risk with a Vincent as rare as this. Also my partner is in his 50s with a bad back already. We may just treasure it and display the bike at special events. Thanks for your interest, from Ruthie

If you were to ride up Cambridgeshire, I know that the VOC up there will be happy to accommodate you.

totusdispute 1 year ago
@totusdispute Yes...ha ha....perhaps the previous owners got their farm work done a lot faster with this land speed record breaking bike!

With the Manx Norton as well I can only guess what they grow on the farm to pay for the bikes

@princealbertenigma We will never say never, but it's a pain needing a rolling road to start the bike every time.

It was lovingly made for racing!! Race it or sell it to someone who will. (with all due respect)
