@666vipnet Really and how so? Fucking open up our minds about the Doberman with your knowledge of who they are. Lets see if we bow down to you whoever you are.
To anyone that thinks this is cruel. If you never lived with a Doberman then you're not smart enough to know that IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to keep up with a healthy Dobe running at full pace. The truth of the matter is that this guy is ENJOYING HIMSELF immensely!
@roguefate666 Very true, they can reach speeds of 40mph and can maintain a very strong pace over very long distances. It reminds me more of a Wolf in that regard than anything else. So yes, this Dog is getting very good exercise and is enjoying it. This breed requires good cardio exercise to avoid it's propensity for heart problems.
@Blitzbok Agreed 100% The "never owned a Doberman peta-bunch" wouldn't have one iota of a problem if the owner of this dog; were filming this while riding a bike. Our current doberman loves to chase the car; in fact if we don't relent to his want; He wont get into the car :) Being an avid mountain biker; I have him chase me on the bike, I can out distance him; yet he happily chases; falls behind or overtakes me. I guess I must be a bad owner as well for exercising my dog....
We used to do this with our wirehaired german pointer when we still had him and he LOVED this. This is totally okay to do. Of course you don't force the dog to run over it's limits and give him plenty of water and pauses. It is very good workout. The ground cannot be too hard either, otherwise this can be harmful for the joints.
This dog is having a great time. He'll have a huge drink of water, and have a huge rush of dopamine to his brain from the workout.
If the guardian can't keep up with his Dobie, why call him names? You all don't know the circumstances. Maybe he already ran 3 miles with the dog! Who knows? Why toss insults?
They should have showed the speedometer.. . I would have liked to have seen how fast that dog was running. What a workout!! Dobes LOVE to run!! A better ending to this video would have been if they had stopped and let the dog love on them for the good run. lol
If a Doberman is conditioned to run AND they're over 2 years old to ensure that their growth isn't being affected, this is better than sitting in a yard. At least the dog gets to leave the house.
yes, dogs need exercise and dobermans are super active...but this dog doesnt look to eager to run. he looks extrmely hot, worn out and like he's been running for a long time. my dog in my video is actually excited when we get in the car to run him. unlike this dog.
pffff c'est toi qu'on devrait faire courir derrière une voiture... t'es trop bête ... rend service à l'humanité! arrête de prendre des chiens et surtout reproduit toi pas!
@chevrolet0219 u didnt understand what he said ^^ and btw there are many dogs faster than dobes but ok ;) before whining i have a dobe myself so i can tell ^^
I had a dog once that got up to 30 mph in a short stretch....she loved it....I can't go 30 mph on a bike. XD, it all depends on the dog. If your dog enjoys running beside a car then why take away his joy XD. We found out my dog liked running after the car because she tried to follow us down the road XD. It's not like the dog was on a leash and the people were forcing it. For some dogs it brings the joy of being able to just bolt he he.
@TooDamnBoku I think u r talking about dalmatians.. they have much much more stamina.. dobes were bred for guarding..tall intimidating breed..who could chase too.. but alongside horses..naa.. that's for dalmatians
I use to let my dogs chase me around the block while i rode my scooter ... best sprint / running exercise they every had, and they loved it. they would slow down, I would slow down, until they were just loping. Then, back to the house, and they would flop in the front yard and drink from a pail of water.
@MADROCKS212 I thought so from your comment sorry to hear that, its the best friend you can ever have. I lost my best friend last year and still havent gotten over it.
i find my dobbie likes to be beside or infront when he runs, but that could be because i can't even remotely keep up with his speed when he's half assing it
i wouldnt wanna be chased by that dog lol i would feel so bad for the dog having to go trough surgery so they remove the contance of my pockets from his stomach.
My used to follow me when I go to work, so, I bought a box of 100 pigs ears from Amazin.com.By getting 100 I get them for only .75 cents ea.Then when I get ready to go to work in the morning, I give both of my dogs a pigs ear. They love them so they start munching on them. They can resist them. And it takes about 15minutes for them to eat the ear, so I am long gone by then. One pigs ear per dog per day and they are now trained not to chase any time.
@anteloncartuna You right, its a dog. Stop been super protective, look his size and shape. This dog is meant to run like that and im glad the owner exercises him steady of jailing him at home before he atacks someone by depression. Fuck off.
They are skinny yet heavily built. Due to this heavy build they are slow and sluggish when moving around. Please don't try and tell me "They are fast you just haven't seen a fast doberman" no I haven't seen a fast Dobie, because none are fast. I've seen hundreds of Dobies.
Also, their jaws is the major thing I don't like. They have narrow and long jaws, leading to a weak bite force.
They are pretty strong and solid and all, but just too slow in my opinion.
@bluegama500 . dobermans are actually one of the fastest dogs, thanks to their muscular body, and their background... and as for their weak bite force, they have a very specific bite, like scissors type bite, only dobermans have it...i think you want a dog for the wrong reasons...
@bluegama500 he wont have to do no biting with me... and u should get an aligator then.they have 13t of pressure in their bite force, and not a doberman or any other dog.
@bluegama500 Slow and sluggish?? lol. You've been seeing poorly bred dobermans, or dobermans with lazy owners that don't exercise them. Or they were the oversized dobes, again, which would be poorly bred.
@Mike300125 I have two dobermans, and they are content to sit on the couch all day. They do like to run thats for sure, but no they dont have to run every day. Not that they wouldnt like it.
@Mike300125 Dobermans need a LOT of daily mental and phyiscal exercise... They are not the kind of dog that will do well just sitting around all the time, and long walks are completely insufficient. The dog will tire you out before he/she is ready to stop, unless your "walk" turns into a "drive" with your dog running next to you lol. They will find a way to get the energy out if not provided, and the things they come up with on their own are usually not cool lol.
@DakotaTheDoberman i find my dobbie is ok with everything thrown at him, trying to adjust the kitten to go on walk with us have made our walks excruciating slow
40km/h is about 24 MPH...a pace of 2:30 for 1 mile which he looks like he could do easily. But I wouldn't push him, you (and he) are doing great already.

@bluegama500 When I was younger we had 3 dobies, neither of them were slow and sluggish. Are you sure you have saw well bred dobies?
Our 3 dobies were very fast and competed in agility.
dobies have very good reactions too, but their higher center of gravity slows them down.
