Thanks, if photos are not that important to you, you can buy the Rebel T2i. It shoots video exactly the same as the 7D for half the price. And buy the body only, don't waste your money on the kit lens that comes with either camera. I never use it, you can buy mine cheap....lol. You can find the Canon 50mm f1.8 for less then $100 online.
haha yeaaaaaaaaaaa dam dude i ben lokin at cannon 7d films all day and this gotta be my fav i thought u had that nas song at the begining tho but it wasnt...keep it up
00:34 - 00:43, 3:15 - 3:20 You can get that lens for $150 online. I got rid of it, it's a cheap lens but it was good for wide angle at 18mm though. I replaced it with the Canon 10-22mm, very good lens. It fish eyes a lil bit at 10mm and I love that, it's good for music videos.
Correct, I am getting ready to buy that lens too. Currently I have the 50mm 1.8 for $87 and I love it. It doesn't work with my Follow Focus though, so it has to go. The $650 was worth it though. I use the 10-22mm & the 50mm all the time.
Really? What FF do you have? And why doesn't it work? I was going to go for the 1.8 but now i'm not sure. I'm thinking on buying the Indifocus PRO or the Cavision shoulder mount package for about 800 which i think is really good.
My partner bought us the Indifocus PRO rig. All of that shoulder mount stuff is garbage though, it's too heavy. I bought a Redrock Micro hand grip for $50, it attaches right to the rails.
The focus ring on the 50mm 1.8 is very small and is at the front of the lens. The 50mm 1.4 has the focus ring where it should be and it's the right size.
Most good ideas start with a plan, do your research & weigh the pros & cons. This camera has major advantages & some disadvantages. If you have any questions in-box me.
The cameras censor over heats when you film non stop after about 45mins - 1 hour.
There is a 4GB video file limit. 1920x1080 24p will make a 4GB clip in about 14mins. You will have to stop recording & start recording a new clip. This could be a prob. if you shoot; Live Performances, Weddings or anything that requires non-stop filming.
You will need to buy a Wide angle lens & a Telephoto lens. Also you will need a Cine Rig or Gidecam.
When filming or doing photography cheapest is not the route to go, you can believe that or find out the hard way.
The lens that I use the most is the $87 Canon 50mm f1.8 I have to sell it though because it doesn't work with my Follow Focus. I'm getting the $350 Canon 50mm f1.4, much better build quality & it has a real focus rig.
Low light, zoom & wide angle equal an expensive lens.
Yes, that is the plan. This was only test footage because I just got the camera. I'm in the process of shooting a series of short films. You will then see all the color correcting & editing when I upload that series.
No, not at all, as long as you know how to manually focus... All the focusing done in this clip was just to show off what the camera can do. This was all test footage.
that shit is soooooooo clear...i can wait to cop my 7D....goood job dogz

That lens is $650. I think i would rather buy the 50mm 1.4 for $300. It has better depth of field and is more sharp.

i think after you take a long video clip, the camera should take a period time to transmit the file to memory, so it will be pause a bits.
thanks for your information, i just added you in my list. Wanna see more your video man
