Looks like the PPSh recoils like it's meant to - i.e. barely at all. Awesome.

While I was the first to bitch about PPSh spam in the original, it was a bit disappointing they nerfed SMG classes by making them recoil harder than the full-size rifles.

Why the c96 Mauser for main sidearm. That was quite rare among Wehrmacht. dont put it in cause its cool put in whats realistic. Anyways game looks great cant wait.

@Sachaztan I have that movie but my grandfather was in the war as well so he told me a bunch of war stories. He was a machine gunner during the war on the Moscow Front.

Cool six shooter! I seriously hope a rifleman can get his hands on a pistol too when entering the combat. I think one of the best weapon combos in RO1 is to have a mosin and a pistol. Maybe something you get as a revard for good performance during the battle..?

@MassacrMan not true, that is a myth, All soviet divisions had supply issues and in some instances did not have enough weapon or ammunition but 99% of the time that was not the case. Enemy at the gates, the movie was based on 2 pages from a 300 page book. Read it and you will know the real story of why the soviet naval unit did not have enough weapons.

@MassacrMan That's actually false propaganda, the Russians were very well supplied. Even the prisoner lines at the front were supplied with rifles and etc.

@prowokator Mostly the way to obtain pistols in Stalingrad was dead comrades or germans, or a game called 'swap without looking'. so you tap another man on the pocket you want to swap and he taps yours without looking. So you take everything out of that pocket and whatever's in there (pictures, ammunition, bread, vodka, etc.) gets swapped with whatever the other man has in HIS pocket.

@heavytransit you are absolutley right. I played the first game, and its absolutley amazing, but the graphics are kinda dated and it really never got that much attention as it it. I personally dont care about graphics but having better graphics is nice and maybe it will get the game more attention.

The graphics from the lighting to the rendering of objects & characters are absolutely fantastic. The movement, esp. running & large movements are too jerky & sped up like ArmA I / II and the characters look like their skating. Choppier fine movements are more natural however. In contrast, Red Orchestra I was too sluggish. I hope the characters have more running stamina in ROHS. One improvement could be they slow down gradually after running a while to simulate gradually getting out of breath.
