That was ridiculous but it wasn't an escape. The bottom wrestler has to face his opponent. Example would be an optional start when the top wrestler continues to follow the bottom wrestler and never gives him a chance to face him.
@rmiller9969 That's what I was about to type but then corrected myself because if the period ends and he never got back on top, wouldn't that be loss of control at the end of the period, 1 point green?
at around :30 the ref holds up his hand like 2 for green when green was already on top. Even if the escape happened, which is not an escape because hes still on his stomach, green still shouldnt have gone into an ot
well although the ref blew the whistle at the wrong time even if the kid in the green didn't think the match was over he could have got that escape. we are taught to do everything crisp and fast and striving for that escape, wasn't there. it was an awful call for a regional ref but the kid didn't fight for the escape. he just sat there.
The kid in the green wouldn't have got an escape anyways. He laid on the mat like a fish after the reversal because he thought it was over also. He never returned to a defensible position to get an escape. Not saying what the ref did was right, but being a state finalist and referee i wouldn't have awarded an escape
Well to all u Guy's he gave it his best shot in i ko because i was there we wrestle for the same school Austin dum ass
