Sorry man. It's a Thai song from the North Eastern part of Thailand. Linguistically, Thai and Lao share similar language, but different accents and terms.

@JanAnn23 , this song here is actauly a variation of Kub Toom Luang Prabang sung by a thai singer with thai lyric's. Kub toom is a northern style of morlum or a style a Luang Prabang person is telling a story during a ceremony . All part of laos and even the majority of ethnic Lao in Esan will aknowledge that the style originated from Luang Prabang.

I miss Hmongland when I watch this video. Oh, the fond memories of my childhood. School, swimming at that spooky lake in Vinai, bird shooting w/ sling-shots, netting fish and bugs(giant crickets), etc. Then all that was left behind in a spoof...Best memory was sneaking up on them lovebirds couple hiking up the hills and watch them do their things. My friends and I always have a good laugh. Love birds probably weren' but 14 and 15 years old back then.

i guess you can say there are two distinct dialects in thailand.. regular city thai which you hear in the news and in the city and lakorns.. there is also a northeastern dialect called Isaan.. this song has some isaan dialect.. isaan dialect consists of a lot of lao language along with thai.. isaan is basically a mix of both lao and thai language.. i speak this dialect.
