@Durrnesque OH MY GOSH HI! (small world!) Well I admire you tons for this. I ask because I'm 19 and I would LOVE to play nancy someday. I feel vocally ready for this part, acting-wise steady enough, just need to nail that accent and *wondering* if a younger girl has a shot at a role that is stereotypically cast as older. But Nancy in the original novel was 17!! Anyway, there are community auditions for Oliver this January. :) So I admire you for this, a lot. Your performance looked fantastic.

@CrAzYsHiT221 Actually, he shoots her point blank in the original novel. The stage show usually chooses to have her beaten with a blunt object because it's more brutal. We chose to do a strangulation not out of ignorance but for a different emotional effect.
