This is widely ackowledged to be one of the greatest if not THE greatest and most beautiful musical masterpiece of all time, and it's important to know that Beethoven wrote it when he was TOTALLY DEAF. Indeed, unlike Mozart's compositions, Beethoven's music was so passionate and powerful that men swooned and women fainted at times. So much so that ironically at the time, his music was sometimes branded as vulgar and "unfit for public performance". How amazing is that? Thank you Ludwig for this!

If you're not sure why and are pressed for time, just go to the 6:40 mark and enjoy for about a minute and a half. I've heard that section maybe a hundred times and still get goose bumps each time.

Okay, i have to point this out. Why is it that everyone always states in the title as full movement when clearly at 11:18 the chores is supposed sing ode to joy with little instrument accompaniment. It was my absolute favorite part of this movement and it gets deleted for no reason.
this isn't actually the "FULL" 4th mvt. it skipped the opening Schrekensfanfare, and the cello/bass recitative with the recalling of the previous movements' themes. FYI. the full 4th movement should be around 25-30 minutes long.

This version sucks. It starts in the middle of the movement, then skips the bass-baritone solo and the choral introduction entirely and ends up at the tenor solo, which is where I just stopped listening.
Like modern day engineers would never tackle a project like re-bulilding something grand like the Pyramids of Egypt, no modern musician would ever try to re-make music this astoundingly beautiful and everlasting.
Absolutely marvelous...it feels like I disappeared from existence. All thoughts left me and all I could think was about the beauty of the piece. As a performer and music theorist, this is one of the greatest arts ever created, that I am aware of. I would prefer this over visual arts any day. And to think Mozart was looked down on for making German opera. I heard German in there. :D Only 17, and I've gotten very far into this stuff.

Okay, i have to point this out. Why is it that everyone always states in the title as full movement when clearly at 11:18 the chores is supposed sing ode to joy with little instrument accompaniment. It was my absolute favorite part of this movement and it gets deleted for no reason.

this isn't actually the "FULL" 4th mvt. it skipped the opening Schrekensfanfare, and the cello/bass recitative with the recalling of the previous movements' themes. FYI. the full 4th movement should be around 25-30 minutes long.

Absolutely marvelous...it feels like I disappeared from existence. All thoughts left me and all I could think was about the beauty of the piece. As a performer and music theorist, this is one of the greatest arts ever created, that I am aware of. I would prefer this over visual arts any day. And to think Mozart was looked down on for making German opera. I heard German in there. :D Only 17, and I've gotten very far into this stuff.
