I totally agree with 5tringkend. Guitar Hero is nothing like plaing a real guitar. I can't hardly play Guitar Hero, because with 16 years of playing guitar under my belt, it's really hard for me to play the game because I try to match the strumming pattern of the guitar, but the game wants you to strum to the beat of the drums!?! They should of called it Drummer Hero.

Not to say Guitar Hero is anywhere near like playing real guitar, but you're completely wrong. The guitar segments of Guitar Hero are not going by the beat of the drums, at all; at least not any less then the song it's mimicking. Though with the latest 2 GH games, they aren't very faithful to the guitar notes either, but that's just because Neversoft fails at tracking the notes.

If more bands were like you guys I wouldn't have such a problem with modern music. Instead of trying to sound like countless other bands who all end up singing meaningless soungs about how badass they are or how much their lives suck, you create your own sound that's both accessible and unique. Been going in on the old version just to listen to it several times since I first found it ages ago. Must say I like both version. The first one is mayhaps more cinematic, with a visual story included. That was what made me hang around and come back to it, good music with awesome visual footage. This new version is indeed more about showing the band itself, which I like aswell. Personally I still prefer the old one more though.. =)

You're right. This clip is more TV friendly, but both need improvement. If I had to choose, I'd select this video. Even though the other is more suited to the character of the band, it's far too random.
