Vegan Black Metal Chef Episode 5 - Smoothie Alchemy

This is the BEST thing to ever happen to breakfast. I've tried five or 6 smoothie recipes and they all either turned out awful, made a huge mess, or took forever. These are so amazingly tasty and EASY. I pre-portion the fruit out, and then I can just snag a sammich baggie, pop it in the blender, spoon some concentrate and water on top, blend, and NEAR-INSTANT BREAKFAST. So much ♥

I've been making smoothies for the last week thanks to you. Though, if you can't find fruit concentrate just use normal fruit juice but DO NOT add water - also, fill it up with the juice a little over half. It does hurt the texture but it still makes an okay smoothie. Though you really are better off with the concentrate.

The music is more varied this time with the tempo changes and the chorus kills. Chorus is almost asking for bla-sphe-my which rhymes with al-che-my (smoothie alchemy, something blasphemy).

dude i couldnt agree more.....ive been drinking a smoothie after pretty much every workout for the past like, 4 years? hahaha smoothies are bomb....i almost always put a banana too cause that makes it thicker and is full of potassium...and i like really like thick smoothies. its even better if you freeze bananas that are starting to get over ripe and use them for smoothies later. oh, and if you love smoothies...you should get a vitamix....best blenders ever....

Smoothies are the best thing ever - fuck using yogurt with that. Using fruit fruit preserves and/or flavored soy milk (ESPECIALLY chocolate) does awesome things for the flavor. You can't go wrong! :D

Another excellent video! Those shop-bought concentrates are often loaded with sugar and preservatives but you can make your own pretty easily. Just whizz up two or three dried fruits with a little water in the mill attachment of your blender and you're done. Try blueberries, cranberries and goji berries with a little warm water. Fantastically good.

Although when I looked at the labels of the concentrates, only 1 of the 9 tubes I still had said it had a preservative (the white grape juice). None said any added sugar or high fructose corn syrup however that might be the natural flavor mystery ingredient.

Bananas or chia seeds are good to thicken up smoothies, if you want a 'creamier' texture (as opposed to icy).
