@kdreamland It's a dark silhouette which opens its eye. Also, Zero's eye is different from Dark Matter's. It's totally red with a black core. If it were Dark Matter's eye you'd see some white.

It plays when Kirby defeats Dedede without having collected all the items necessary to battle and defeat the cloud of Dark Matter still hanging over Dream Land. It's a "bad ending" in the sense of Kirby having unfinished business.

Jr., Sir Kibble, Hruff, Sparky, Scarfy, Togezo, Tick, Shotzo, Keke, Gordo(fat in portuguese XD), Kapaa, Glunk, Galbo, Magoo, Mumbies, Pteran, Chilly, Mariel(the black spider), and Propeller(the purple with a smile). Yeah, there's A LOT OF THEM!

I remember the first time I saw this ending, I felt all proud of myself until the end. I sorta facepalmed and was like "Ohhhh yeeeeeah - there's that giant thing from the intro I forgot about." lol

Fighting Zero had some epic music, btw. Just felt like saying that.

Okay the last time I played this game was like 6 or so years ago and I wasn't that smart but now I want to know, I always thought Dedede was the final boss but now I realize he wasn't and I'm wondering How do you fight Dark Matter and Zero?!

You gather all the heartstars in every level and then fight the boss to expel the Dark Matter. after all five tentacles are removed level 6 Hyper Zone should open up and then you fight both Zero and Dark Matter. I show you how to get the heartstars in my videos.

Yes you do. But what makes this ending bad is the fact that it leaves the game open ended and it no other purpose than to tell you that you missed something. Does that really sound like a good ending to you?

@lovethytoast I like this ending. I think the one from KD2 signifies it better though, what with the rain and all, and the fish looking up at the sky at the end. "Will the rain ever stop?" he is wondering. But this ending....there's something rather sinister with the whole happy music and Kirby walking home with Gooey. Then you see Dark Matter and realise he's still there, and Kirby is unable to do anything about it. Espeically with the whole ? question mark thing. What will Dark matter do?!?!

Batamon usually has me thinking that he's the Wario of the Kirby series. The reason being is that he looks like kirby and he wants to erasdicate him ( Kirby) because he is made of dark matter ( D.M.) ^^
