yo dude i got my drums for metallica i have a few things to ask dose a rock band kick pedel work for a DUB kick i have a guitar hero kick pedel but ok i orderd a MIDI cable in the mail and my dad downloaded and sofware for the thing but the Simbuls and the pads and the kick pedel dont work at all the kit is bran new the only thing that works on the drums is the D-pad and the A X Y B buttens dose the sofware work 100% of the time and saw the bet taip it was 10 should i kip them on 10

I am playing GH on ps2 and i am using a 42' plasma screen, the ps2 is plugged via standart YWR cables... there is a slight delay of maybe 0.25 sec from the moment you hit the pad to the moment the game registers it... it is extremely annoying because you need to actually hit the notes earlier...

You have to calibrate the lag. See the tv in this video? That tv also has a lag. Calibrate it in the GH settings, this will sync the notes and fix the lag. However there's no way to fix the lag when you actually play your own drum patterns and fills. Unless you connect your audio cables to a stereo that doesn't have lag and that plays back the sound instantly. Blame the tv man.

I need to replace just one cymbal (orange), how can I get a new cymbal from Guitar Hero? I still have warranty, I just bought the drum set yesterday (08-15-09) that came with the whole band set for the PS3. Any Ideas on how I can get a new orange cymbal? Please help!

That's happened to me. Go to the Red Octane website and find that menu that allows you to tell them that you're having problems with part of your drum set and it shows a list. Just pick and orange cymbal. It's real easy to find I'm sure you're smart enough to do it.

Same here.. In fact I got 3 free drum replacements, and ALL 3 PLUS my original ones broke. My original drums lasted 2 months, 1st replacement lasted 2 weeks, second replacement lasted 1 week and the 3rd replacement lasted me 4 days before it broke so I gave up on them and I don't play drums anymore..

They changed the procedure on the site. Now they ask you to clink on the Ask a Question tab on the top and you gotta first ask them to send you a USB-MIDI then they ask you to scan and attach a copy of your receipt.

Yeah that has happened to me with 3 different drum kits! I always send them back to Red Octane. On their website you can order replacement drums. If your warranty ran out, use the express way and they'll send new drums first, and once you get the new ones you send the old ones back free of charge (except for a temporary fee on credit card which they refund) Like I said what happened to you has happened to me 3 times already.

For some reason, GHWT is not recognizing the interface from my computer. I have it set up exactly as you do in the video but when I click on test, I do NOT get any response in the recording studio. I noticed you did not select USB Audio Device from the drop down but it still worked for you. The instructions from the software tell you to select USB Audio Device. Do I need an updated driver for the USB cable? I can't figure out why this isn't working. Pls help.

Update: I tried the same process but used a different computer and it worked perfectly.  I now know for sure that I need a yellow cymbal. I get no response at all from it but the other pads I can adjust easily.

My snare is both too sensitive and not sensitive enough. I have to beat the snare way too hard to get it to read, and it doesnt even work half the time, but sometimes if i hit other drums it reads the snare. I also notice that when the snare does work, it always registers double hits. And sometines the snare just registers a hit when Im not even touching the drums(Which is really annoying when I have to pause the game, because it will unpause itself)

Do what this video tells you to do. Get the MIDI drum tuner, and tune the sensitivity of the snare drum up.. If all else fails order a replacement drum set from the Red Octane website. No need for warranty if you use the express method that I used to replace my drums..

Ok to test it out try putting the yellow cymbal where the orange should be. If it doesn't work, then your whole drum brain is screwed. However if the yellow works in place of the orange, then it's the orange cymbal itself that sucks. Just go on the Red Octane website and order a replacement cymbal. Easy as pie!

No man. For that you'll need to make an RMA in the Red Octane website and order a "Drum Main Pads" replacement. You can do it the regular way where you send your drums and then they send new ones, or put in your credit card number and order it express where they send you new drums BEFORE you send yours. Everything is free including shipping and handling as long as it's within your 90 day warranty.

The problem isn't with the red. It sounds like the yellow is too sensitive. So just leave the red pad alone, and use the tuner to turn down the sensitivity on the yellow.

The tape fix hardly ever works so might as well not use it. Now try tuning it with the tuner, and if even that fails, then you can order a new drum set at the Red Octane website free of charge as long as it's within the 90 day warranty. The drums you see in this video actually broke shortly after and I ordered new ones. Between you and me, even the new drums I got came defective, so I'ma order a 3rd set!! But yeah try the tuner first man..
