Seen these CrJs come and go from airports a bunch of times but the only problem is that I've never been on one of those, mostly big jets like 747s or other ones like 737s and A320s

Normally u try to avoid TS(thunderstorm) activities in a range of at least 20nm from the celles. obiviously this change from routes and speeds u re going to fly. but this is valid for all aicrafts :D

uhh thanx for the comment, but yea there was a storm outside, we did avoid it, delaying our flight 45 minutes, the plane is fueled with extra for that reason

@pinkmints The CRJ is one of the most advanced planes there is. I hope to be a captain on one of these in the next few years. For now I enjoy flying cessna's, piper's, Beech Baron 58, and King Air C90/200. Good luck if you decide to make aviation your future.

yeah I am aware.... but we were 45 minutes into the flight and I didn't know that the worst of the turbulence wasn't over, we were flying over a tornado.
