When Capitol received the recordings from EMI, they remixed the tracks to suit the "American" market, i.e. with more reverb and stereo separation (the famous Sun Studio sound). The CDs were based on the British Lps, not the American albums. After Sgt. Pepper, both are the same.
on rubber soul, this lead is recorded with a fender stratocaster,it's about the first time george recroded with a strato,it was a blue strato..he painted it later with psychedelic colours and called it "rocky" you can see it on magical mistery tour clip "i am the walrus"
i have the recor cover right here songs on the rubber soul album: ive just seen a face norwegien wood you wont see me think for yourself the word michelle [side 2] its only love girl im looking through tou in my life wait run for your life
just looked on wiki, nowhere man was released on 'yesterday and today' in america only (which is where i am). In the UK and all other versions they feature nowhere man on rubber soul.
i play about the same. vintage indie rock i call it.
casinos are great for that, but you might look into getting a fender standard telecaster. less money, similar tone. if its looks youre going for def. get a casino. they are a bit hard to fix up when they go wrong. but theyre built alright. better than the dot.
Great playing...the harmonic was just a little weak but overall it was great. By the way, is that the john lennon casino or the regular casino in natural with the pickguard taken off. Great tone too...what amp are you using and what are your settings. Id like to mess around with my casino...
P.S.-did you ever notice any buzz on the epi or like really bassy tone in the neck PUP? I was just wondering because mine seems to be quite crappy. Just wanted to know if it was normal.
hey man what kind of casino do u have im looking into buying one would you recommend it? tell me about the goods the bads about the tone thanks man it would mean alot
put a pair of dadarrio 9s on it and it sounds soo sweet. great tone. you have to turn the treble up a little bit on the amp to get it to sound like a normal guitar..at least on the vox ad30. if you put a lot of distortion through it it feedsback like crazy but you can turn youre volume knob on the guitar down a little and take care of that.
i play more beatles kind of stuff not covers but its got that whole summer of love vibe to it and i always looked at a 335 but i could never dig it because of that block it always made it sound like it couldnt resonate then i lennon play casino on the revolution video and loved it but everywhere i went for reviews on casinos no one would ever tell me straight the goods or bads i really appreciate this what kind of music do u play
i play more beatles kind of music not covers but the whole kind of music they played. i really appreciate the advice theres always mixed reviews but no one that ever answered my questions what kind of music do u play?
I play the same kinda music, and I think the Casino is pretty versatile. It gets a slightly indecent amount of feedback when you turn up the distortion, but if you play with the knobs, you can achieve a lot of different sounds. I really like the bite and twang of it. It's almost comparable to a telecaster. It's one of the better buys you can get for that much, as far as guitars go.
thank you .mmmmmm i need the tab urgency
