i went to this concert for my tenth birthday, and at the end ofthis song you can see my dad wearing a black shirt with fout blocks on it and a white hat, im trying yo help my friend i think so you cant really see me
@lexypenguin232 oh and i forgot to mention tommy shaw is my idol and almost everything i learn on guitar, piano, and mandolin is because of him!!! i loved at the concert how they had to restart songs a couple tmes because they were filming it!
Bought STYX and CYO DVD last week after seeing these videos. Was worth every penny and more! Beautiful! Way to go STYX! Looking forward to seeing you at the Biltmore estate!
THIS WHOLE SHOW WAS JUST GREAT ! ESPECIALLY THE WAY THE KIDS GOT INTO ROCKIN N ROLLING WITH TOMMY & CO. IT SHOWS IN THERE FACES THE TRUE JOY OF MUSIC....DO YOURSELF A FAVOR CHECK OUT THE WHOLE SHOW ITS A CLASSIC ...THANKS STYX ROCK ON !
The way I look at it is all of the kids that got to play with a legend group would have to be such a great honor to do so. I would have just flipped had that ever happen to me? One of my favorite video's I know of. I play it repeatedly & still don't get tire of it. Great job to the CYO orchestra for a job well done. And THANK YOU STYX for allowing something like this to happen. What an inspiration this is to our younger generation.
Completely awesome.... just awesome... I can only hope that if I help enough old ladies across the street in this lifetime, that just maybe I can come back in the next life as Tommy Freakin' Shaw...
I will say it again Styx sounds sssssssooooooooooo ggggggggooooooooood with a orchestra they just enhance the the sound. Does any body agree with me please let me know.
WOAH!!!!! GAVE ME GOOSE BUMPS!!! STYX WILL FOREVER BE APART OF MY CHILD HOOD >> MY MEMORIES>>message here is to all.... what will it take for you to just ...BE... why be good at what you do... When you have the ability to become GREAT!
This whole concert is excellent. As a Styx fan since highschool (I'm now 50 ) it's a thrill seeing the kid's in the orchestra totally rock with the band. Not so much in this particular song, but with Miss America, etc, etc
Wasn't there myself but I did get it on Blue Ray & with the right sound system, I am sure it was awsome to be there live. Love the video. Watched it several time. Cannot seem to get enough of it.
WELL DONE! That goes to everyone that took part in this video.
Many singers loose some quality in their voice with age, however there is absolutely no evidence of that here. I loved it from the first listen. Gorgeous song. Perfectly sung. Thanks Styx. this concert should have been recorded CD . Great stuff, the whole concert . wow
well that's typical of you isn't it??...why do ya keep snoopin around STYX sites all the time???......... obviously YOU ARE A CLOSET "STYX" FAN....BOO HOO.....READ AND WEEP..go somewhere where the sun don't shine, or where you're better appreciated..like where???..I think not..
Another exciting show was Jon Anderson of Yes a few years back. I believe hey recorded the entire show but Jon only wanted it released to the kids in the orchestra and their families, or something like that. The show was very good. Jon later played with kids from the "School of Rock" and the tookit on the road. Similar philosophy...share with kids the classic rock experience. Quite a few videos of this on You tube. Jon was going to tour w/ Yes afterwards but he fell ill and cancelled.
I've been looking for the mp3 for 2 hours. This song means a lot to me: my future ex-husband's (inside joke) and my song from our 2nd date. wasn't a big styx fan until then. Beautiful song, sucks that there is no mp3 but glad I at least found this, finally!
Saw Styx in Concert here in Jacksonville and they played this song. No One made a sound in the audience while they played this wonderful song. The song reminds me of old Styx mixed with Pink Floyd
Isn't it wonderful? I just started playing guitar a few months ago and I am already playing this one (well just strumming some chords along with Tommy's "real playing" LOL). But it's beautiful indeed! And the orchestra really kicks it up a notch!
No I'm just trying to learn on an acoustic right now (Ovation Applause). Though I have played around with a couple of friend's electrics and they seem much easier to play. But I am from the old school, learn piano on a PIANO and NOT a keyboard, learn stringed instruments acoustic first, etc. How long have you been playing?
Thats Great....Been a Styx fan since 1975..

Love this song....I saw it on HDNET and was blown away at how different it was from the usual Tommy Shaw/Styx fare. Almost DeYoung-ish....What?!!
Jelsick 1 year ago 2
@Jelsick Floyd-ish! nothing like deyoung!
wakaw07 1 year ago
DeYoung isn't singing on this song, so what's your point?
dawnmarieb 1 year ago
@dawnmarieb That was exactly my point! Another youtuber said it sounded like deyoung? my response was NO...more like floyd!
wakaw07 1 year ago
@wakaw07 so does that mean it sound better then deyoung?

@veronica16841 Not better but equally as good! I've liked all the styx lineups!

@dasssw327 Yeah it's definitely a bit Floyd. Pretty good song although I do think it's somewhat of a poor man's "Kill Me Hello" (Tommy Shaw solo).
