first of all, can you put yourself in their shoes? jang geum, she's a girl who's lost her parents at 8 years of age, and left alone in the world. she's worked very hard to get to where she is now. then there's han sang gung, who still has the emotional wound she received years ago when she had to watch her best friend die in front of her eyes and not being able to do anything. both have been groping for a remnant from the past, and then they find each other. you call that not touching??

actuallly you got it a lil wrong. han sang gung actually put detoxifying powder in the poisonous soup they gave her and so jang geum's mother got to live a lil longer and was saved my her father at a river. and jang geum's mom died from getting shot by an arrow

Because the english episodes are 45 minutes long and the original korean version is 60 minutes long. Therefore the number of episodes is different.

i just started watching DJG, and i was so tempted to watch this scene on youtube before i watched on dvd. but, i'm so glad i waited. the build up of scenes to this point was important. it's a real emotional pay off. especially since the show takes a dark turn around this point. i wanted to cry at this scene. but i'm a guy, so i had to hold it together. haha.
