In your videos, it appears that you used steel sheets rather than aluminum sheets for your panels. Am I correct? If I am right in my assumption, using aluminum would have shaved quite a few pounds off the finished product.

@coldsteel1000 , yep thats what I used. I was thinking about useing aluminum but I was scared about accidently hitting it with my welder when I went to put in the stand offs. I didn't want to blow a hole in it and then have to rebuild a new pannel.

As opinions go....I'd suggest scraping the entire chassis and motor and find something less "riding lawn mower" and something more go-kart with a lighter weight tube chassis. At that point your options for drive train components increases.

You got what you call "The-run-around" on trying to see if it was street legal. In most states you have to have 1. Turn signals 2.head lights 3.breaks an break lights 4 seat belts 5. reflectors, 6 horn, 7. mufflers.. an just about all you listed on the list you have. Go to your local DMV website an look for street legal information or call your local DMV

Its light, great bottom end tork, and you will have a 5 speed tranny to move her along :-)

Make the panels out of fiberglass... increase the motor size and add a second set of wheels on the back. Once you do that, it will be quicker and be more true to the actual batmobile. 2 wheels in the back doesnt look right. Good job though!!!!
