  • When I was competing in the 70'sin LA, this jerk was putting on races in parking lots, alleys, wherever. They were dangerous, and I saw many injuries caused by his unsafe courses. After a few, I quit racing in any event he promoted. And his prize lists were sucky! Racing is dangerous enough without added hazards.

  • They should redesign the crowd barriers to have a smooth transition to the race side. The common ones used now have support legs that protrude out onto the race lane. That is dumb. When a racer hits one, a crash at 40mph is inevitable. Racer safety should be a priority in the last kilometer of a race. They should also prevent a spectator from leaning their head over the barrier to see better. A racer could hit head-to-head at high speed, causing a fatal injury to spectator and cyclist. Agreed?
