Good Review! I love Miss Jessie's products too! I'm using Quick Curls, Butter Creme and the Curly Pudding which has an Awesome smell! I want to try the Stretch Silkening Creme next or would you ladies recommend trying curly meringue first?

Hey LEAH!!! I use the Stretch Silkening Creme all the time (well, in the summer). From my experience, it stretches my hair when I shingle it. Like you, I'm not a fan of the flat, stuck to my head, looks like a cat sucked on it hair. I just bought the Curly Meringue with the BOGO (along with the Quick Curls...that is a story worth a vid...) and I'm not feeling the difference between the SSC and the CM...

ur hair is looking beautiful. i see what u mean about getting too much definition. still, ur hair was not weighed down and u got beautiful ringlets with volume. it's funny they recommend to blowdry for stretched curls. that method should work with a bunch of other leave-ins, then why buy the silkening one?

You can use up what you already have or you can return the stuff you're not using to the store for a refund. Especially if you were not satisfied with the product. Don't keep products sitting around if you don't like them, return them immediately. Most places have great return policies. Ask about the policy when you buy the product. Ask if you can return if you don't like it. That's $5, $10, and sometimes $15+ that you are wasting on products that you can return!

I purchased this last year when they had their BOGO. I absolutely DID NOT like this product! I was going back and forth between this and the curly meringue. I probably should have got the curly meringue. It DID NOT stretch my curls and it left my hair so dry for some reason. BTW your hair looks awesome as usual. I guess products work different for everyone and this product did not work for me. Anyway, Happy New Year and God Bless You!

@annointedkeys I really dislike the product too - especially the way it smells. It didn't do anything for me as far as stretching my hair, however (because I bought it) I will be using it all up at some point. lol

It looks ultra shiny and moisturized. I use SSC when I do flexi rod sets or Bantu knot outs.

leah, i cant ever let my hair down like you do. My hair is naturally layered, and when i let it down it just looks akward. Is their a way i can let my hair down and make it look as good as yours?
