Crackdown 1 is one of my most favorite games of all time. I wish I lived in an alternate universe where Realtime Worlds made Crackdown 2 instead of APB, what a gigantic double blunder this mess turned into. APB was a game I was hyped about for 5+ years and it turned out garbage and RTW was obliterated, and Crackdown 2 is actually worse than the first in many ways. Most notably, they completely ruined the great lock-on targeting from Crackdown 1. No melee attacks on targeted enemies? Absurd.

I always thought the announcer was an asshole. Scolding you for every mistake you make and bitching at you when you don't do what he says. I always turn him off so I don't have some deep voiced guy bitching at me every couple seconds. Now of course he tells you how great your achievements are but still, when the game is telling me I have no balls that's when I shut it's mouth.

In reality, they're just puppets for the game companies.Their trick is to give reviews ranging from decent to perfect to all "major" games and throw in a couple poor reviews (to preserve credibility) for low budget games or for games they know are going to sell mostly to a limited or niche market anyways (in other words, barely affecting the games sales at all). It's all just propaganda and should be avoided.

The graphics war is so old now it belongs in a museum. Im a retro gamer and i prefer to play some of my older games more than the new ones, yesterday i played Millipede on the 2600 for 3 hours, so engrossed in the game that graphics became an after thought. I have also downloaded some classics for xbla arcade. I like all consoles becos they have different games exclusives etc etc. Any way enuff of me, im off to play alex kidd in miracle world, great game, great playability.
