The truth is, during the localisation (censoring, re-editing, changing scenes/dialogs) of Bismark, they changed the names without any real reason. Richard Lancelot = Saber Rider, Hikari Shinji = Fireball, Bill Willcox = Colt, Marian Louver = April Eagle. Why did they feel they need to change them? I've no idea.

I think you might refer to the "nuclear explosion" which is cut together from: scenes from the Japanese version of "Alamo Moon" (btw. it's a censored scene by WEP), "The Monarch Supreme" episode and what I think you're referring as crappy 3DS is the "Redwing Cherokee event". Unfortunately that is a real nuclear test footage. If you don't believe it, just search for it.
