the chemical brothers prodigy etc etc ,,,,,,,,,,,,, jamas le llegaran a giorgio moroder y a jean micheal jarre ............. estos son los padres de la musica electronica
i adore this song, you don't need an e to be transported by it, moroder's music evoked fantasy mindscapes that needed no added stimulant, just a willingness to listen and free your imagination. in the 90s with the nose-bleed techno/rave era, to dance to a lot of the ssunds you needed to be off your face for it to be tolerable. don't get me wrong, i'm no puritan but e deprives you of all critical facultlies and makes you dance to shit so what's the point?
Thank you for putting the whole side 1 on here. The journey as a concept album was the German was of putting out music and is meant to take you on a full journey for 15 minutes which this and many other albums from this time did-Thank you,Tater
Gary Wright's Dream Weaver album in March 1976 and Giorgio Moroder's From Here To Eternity album July 1977. Must have these LP's in your synth collection.
Brilliant upload! This is probably a stupid question but who actually sings on this? Given that Giorgio himself has a very strong accent I think it's clearly not him singing as there is no hint of a accent in the vocal.
@Bananadiva1 Giorgio sings himself. You will notice that people will lose their accent when they sing the same way people who stutter stop stuttering when they sing. Curiosly, some other people get an accent when they sing!!! A singer from Quebec, "Coeur de Pirate" sings with a typically parisian accent but speaks with a pure Quebec accent!!! Go figure! :)
Allora... 1977, andavo alle scuole medie e all'uscita prima di andare a casa mi fermavo agli autoscontri dove il dj (?) metteva questo brano. Bellissimi ricordi.
For those of you with speed concerns: Just convert the video to .mp3 (free tools available online) and use your player's speed controls to adjust the speed to your liking.
If anyone told me Youtube allows files of 15:30 length I'd change it - otherwise stop writing comments telling me the song is too fast! I am just too lazy to try it out. ;-)
This music sounds so intergalactic.Something you would hear on another planet. The music we hear now for the most part sounds like something you hear in hell.
I have this long play, simply the best...thanks!!!!

One can easily see where Techno music of the 80's, Trance of the 90's, Electroclash from the early 2000's (and so on...) came from!!

Dear Sterndi,
I think this is a little fast.

Cheers.
