This music is so bittersweet as and beautiful. It's like remembering the happiness and promise of youth, while wondering how everything could have gone so wrong.

I think the picture at 1:07 is powerful. Alex's friendship with Denis is one of the most underestimated parts of the film. I think it's really significant in showing the unity between East and West and it's the one relationship that's happy throughout, with no downpoint of any kind. It's also probably the funniest, especially the "Aktuelle Kamera" scenes. :D
@maideniac94 Well, thank you for your comment. Of course it doesn't bother me that it's not top-rated; that's not the point of posting it; but I do appreciate that nonetheless.
Also good to see you agree with me about Alex's friendship with Denis. :D

Our dance teacher made a choreography for me and 4 other dancers from our dance class to this song. That's how I fell in love with this one. We have long white dresses and white masks. The dance is called "Faceless", and the name comes from the fact that we are all young and looking for our identities, and we try to find them by trying many stuff, including dancing. In the end we take the masks off to show that we have found ourselfs. I really like the dance, but most off all I love this song.

@juanquy25 I'm not quite sure if it's what your looking for but, My Life As A Dog is quite an amazing film too. It's set in sweden and it's by Lasse Hallström
@juanquy25 watch Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amélie Poulain. (In english it's just Amelie) Yann Tiersen also did the soundtrack to that, it was super amazing.
watch the Lives of Others..i think its called Das Leben der Anderen in the original German..really a great movie. City of God, while not european, is another movie I would highly recommend
Well if you like this movie, you should watch The Edukators! It is an awesome movie! German movie that is. Daniel Bruhl is in it to, if your into that sorta thing...lol
@jelleftw It makes me cry so much, Im german and my entire family is too, it reminds me of how much I miss my dad and this movie reminds me of him so much
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Is Britain still great under Labour, especially as a sovereign Britain is now illegal in the EU? Paying homage to a foreign capital is in the Marxist bloodstream!
You decide after pasting this title into the bar: NEW LABOUR'S COMMUNIST HERITAGE AND PRIDE
hahaha NEW LABOUR is a right wing party...Old Labour was the real left party....and anyway what are you going to do now?
vote CONSERVATIVE????
so that they take everything away from you into you'll end up in a crisis like the one in 1984????
please do me a favour and think about which one is best because i rather have a bunch of a lazy arses in the government than a bunch of lazy arses that will take everythng away from you including the blood that keeps you living.
New Labour are a disgrace even to the fellow Communists which many party members left behind!
New Labour's financial initiatives from the capitalist Right but it's morals derive from second-generation student Marxists doused in the PC ideology of the Frankfurt School.
(But the two sides touch - despite the recession, billions of Pounds are still poured into foreign aid for Third World countries with nuclear programmes as well as bribes to hot countries to start 'global cooling'.)
This music is so bittersweet as and beautiful. It's like remembering the happiness and promise of youth, while wondering how everything could have gone so wrong.

the city surrounded by walls built by the besiegers, and then trivially have demolished the same!

@robertpeter1991 ich geb dir nich unrecht, aber 250.000 Aufrufe sprechen gegen die Theorie, dass niemand Wert darauf legt

@juanquy25 watch Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amélie Poulain. (In english it's just Amelie) Yann Tiersen also did the soundtrack to that, it was super amazing.

Loved the movie - extremely well directed.
This particular soundtrack was extremely fitting for the part in the movie.

TheDustpile 2 years ago
hahaha NEW LABOUR is a right wing party...Old Labour was the real left party....and anyway what are you going to do now?
vote CONSERVATIVE????
so that they take everything away from you into you'll end up in a crisis like the one in 1984????
please do me a favour and think about which one is best because i rather have a bunch of a lazy arses in the government than a bunch of lazy arses that will take everythng away from you including the blood that keeps you living.
