This song is Horrible. I listened to it because I heard it was a rip on Billy Corgan. I don't know whether it really is, but the song sucks great big soccer balls.
Shine was their only good song, and even it is a little weaker than I remember.
You're right about me not knowing what the song's really about. I read the lyrics and they're very general.
Like most music, the perception of the meaning is usually based in memories that we attach to the music. On they're own though these lyrics are fairly ... well meaningless.
Oh. But on the "Dude you are wrong" statement" you made: Opinions can be misguided or biased or even discounted due to lack of experience, but not wrong. Particularly if it's an opinion on taste.
just saw these boys play in my hometown last night. my all time favorite band put on a hell of a show. they sound just as good live as they do on their albums.
I agree I am seeing them for only the 3rd time in 9 years on the 3rd of November in Green Bay, WI last two times I saw them was in St Charles, MO in June and 9 years ago in Green Bay, WI and I met them in person in June and they are the most down to earth guys you will meet. Joel even let me have a solo photo with him. I would have gotten one with Dean and Will but was in ga ga mode at that point. I think part of it is I have a crush on Dean.
The lead solo's probably one of the best Collective Soul lead guitar solos! I'm not too happy about the lack of any distinct guitar solos in the most recent CS album, though :(
classic 90s tune
