normallly no one is vulnerable when crashing through window from the top of a building and I figured Alicia Silverstone would've gotten so scrapes and bruises and fell much faster to the floor and at least broke a limb.

Wow, until the end of this piece, I had never realized how much Dina Meyers (who took on the mantle of Batgirl in the failed tv show "Birds of Prey") looks so much like Yvonne Craig! In my humble opinion, they are both extremely beautiful and graceful, and yeah, Alicia Silverstone's adaptation ( or should I say Joel Shumacher's adaptation) of the Batgirl can't come close...!

my biggest issue with Alicia was she is supposed to be Alfred's niece from England yet she has an american accent and no one acknowledges it.

@MinorSexualAssault Exactly! Of course, the fact that for 30 or 40 years, Batgirl has been the daughter of Commissioner James Gordon, and here comes...Alffred's niece...??? Yeah, obviously, Joel Schumacher has never read any of the comics, and never researched the characters...at all!

Yvonne for me - always! I remember how disappointed I was at Alicia because I so looked forward to another interpretation. I just knew with the budget and special effects she was going to be better than Yvonne. Yvonne's Batgirl was a step-up for women playing action parts. Alicia, I don't know...With all of her gadgets and expensive costume - it was such a letdown. Maybe because Yvonne was a loner with her own lair and motorcycle...even though it was kind of illogical, it made her cooler.

I think Alicia Silverstones costume looked great. She even kicked ass in the movie. BUT Yvonne Craig was much better. She was much more feminine and that what made her character cute. I mean she danced around while fighting ( if you want to call it that ) Alicia Silverstone was good, but I think Yvonne Craig was better.

First of all there is nothing to compare except times were much different in the 60s as opposed to 90s. Young women in the 60s were portrayed much more gentler and innocent (in your traditional western style) than the young women in the 90s. Just look at their speaking, walking, and clothing style. Batgirl of the 60s in pink/violet uniform whereas 90s batgirl is tightly strapped in black leather outfit. Get that sweet/sexy look to sexy/dangerous look. Take your pick as to which era.

What's to compare? 60's Batgirl might have been silly, but the whole THING was meant to be silly (Add to that old-school effects and a dwindling TV show budget). Silverstone's Batgirl was no sillier than the movie overall, which had NO excuse, as there was much more money and serious intent involved! Between the two, Craig made the silliness look hot and exciting, whereas Silverstone (and the rest of the cast) made it look.... well, pathetic.

Well, Yvonne can act, Alicia can't. Yvonne was also a dancer and moves much more gracefully than Alicia, and I doubt Yvonne would have buggered up the sfx sequences like Alicia did. When Alicia's batgirl and Robin were falling, you could tell that Alicia was on bluescreen by the way she looked like she was just standing there waving her arms.  Yvonne Craig is the only Batgirl for me.
