  • Camp Mulla or die! Next big thing in Music period.

  • Let me tell you what the problem is here....

Why do African artists style themselves on America?

They look the same, they move and dance the same, the video's are the same, and they all wear the same ugly clothes and cheap jewellery - and the women are used as sex objects.

It really is time for ALL African artists to show pride for the amazing continent and to develop their own natural African style.

Adopting American style is just another form of slavery - except this time its musical.

    Sad...

  • That was a load of Gibberish you just wrote. I won't even bother proving your points wrong and making a fool out of you, you've already done that yourself @throbule

  • @frankblazer:

Had you an ounce of common sense, you would know that I wasn't making points - I was making a statement of facts.

There is a difference between the two, but I wouldn't expect a feeble brained pleb to understand that subtlety, hence your spurious and naive claim that you might have an inkling of how to put me 'right'.

Suffice it say that in the intellect department, you are but a microbe of minor interest and major irrelevance.

African style rules - you do not.

  • @throbule why must everything be battle for identity. Why can't you enjoy other people cultures and dress without it being slavery!Kenya as a country doesn't have a national dress. So its just convenient to wear western clothes, the same way its convenient to use western technologies. Well the girl in the video didn't come across as a sex symbol she was classy so drop that statement. Africans treated women like property first off hence they acquired several. I bet you go to work with a suit!

  • @sqwale7:

The battle is to stop Africans discarding their identity, and if you had Africa in your heart, you would join the campaign.

African youth are following the cheap, transient Americanisation of world style thinking it a clever thing to do, but by throwing away centuries of amazing culture, they kill the future of a unique Africa.

These kids know no better unless we show them.

You should vote for African culture, not for its death.

And no, I never wear suits.

  • @throbule, they just don't understand. You are talking to simpletons who are not capable of engaging with materials critically.

  • @stuartseenama:

Generally speaking you are right in what you say, but I've had many positive responses from young African musicians, rappers, singers and producers who agree with my sentiments.

So I continue to post these comments.

Very few Africans buy this music, and the rest of the world doesn't care much for it, so its a lose/lose situation for these kids.

Most of them do see that point eventually, but by then, its often too late.

    Peace....

  • @throbule If you do not like the music please go watch whatever you think is African enough for you! The rest of us (Over 157 000) are here for the music and not to listen to some 'culture warrior' reprimanding us in english. Go do your 'click' analysis elsewhere and to everyone else, please ignore these attention seekers whose sole existence is based on propagation of ignorance, if there are mods out there please delete their ethnocentric comments.

  • @thedee254:

You should read all the comments.

Out of all who watched, 1 third posted negative spam, 1 third hated it and the remainder are obviously deaf or have no taste.

You yourself are clearly a half breed dung heap who excels at speaking out of his rectum.

And only an African who thinks he is white would use the word 'ethnocentric'!

  • @throbule I dont have time for ethnocentric culture warriors, as far as am concerned I love Camp mulla and you can piss off! Sorry I got to go coz the party DONT STOP!

  • @thedee254:

You are beginning to dribble like a pre pubescent child, so I suggest you put away your toys and your hang ups, and try to cease having these psychotic thoughts that you are normal.

You seem to have serious delusions that you might be someone, but I can put you out of your misery.

    You're not.

Bedtime for you now little boy, so off you go - and let's not have any more of your infantile tears.

  • @stuartseenama you ethnocentric buffoon, no one has forced you to watch this video, your flawed reasoning is on full display. It is bad enough to have to share the world with individuals who deem their 'culture' superior but you have now invaded cyberspace where you have plastered your so called cultural music which is made using guitars and keyboards none of which is african! Camp Mulla rocks and I am glad our generation is not made up of culture warriors!

  • @thedee254, my answer to you is similar to one that I give skunks. I cover my nose and wait for the stench to disappear (holding my nose). Go on and preach your stink mate.

  • @stuartseenama Amazing, you communicate with skunks! zoom back to the psych ward!

  • @thedee254, You seem to think that people cannot hold a critical view of artists and that such a view necessarily means we don't appreciate the music or like them. To the contrary, some of us are the foremost supporters of contemporary productions. And we just don't post threads, we have been deeply involved in the industry. May be that 's why we aren't necessarily awed. If you want to have a mature conversation, lets go ahead and have it. Why can't one comment on vocals or beats?

  • @stuartseenama thats a bit rich coming from you. You are now claiming the high road when everyone can see you are nothing but a peddler of ethnocentrism a troll that scours the web to pour scorn on everyone else to douse the scars of your failed music career and ambitions with the rush you get from your vitriol.

  • @thedee254. Watchu been drinking mate? Talk of my non existence failed music career. I am surely loving this. Tell me more about myself.

  • An international track; quite a good track! all thumbs up!
