A Tierce de Picardie (Picardy Third in English) is simply a major ending in a minor key, which was used a lot in the Baroque era and gives a feeling of optimism at the end of a piece, so technically this isn't one as it comes in the middle of the song. Bach's music is full of them, but perhaps the quickest and most accessible way of getting the effect is if you listen to The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time: Serenade of Water. It's a perfect example :P

@DashH90Three Yes you're right in that it is raising the third to a major where a minor was expected, however in its original definition, a Picardy Third only occurs at the end of a piece. So if you want to be pedantic (like me :P), this isn't a Picardy Third, it's just an unexpected major shift (in the STYLE of a Picardy Third) in the middle of an otherwise minor piece.

Yeah, but its his song too not just KG's. Yeah Kyle can play better than Jack but I think he should at least be in there. I think that they didnt put him in cause they might've thought he'd be joking around the enitire time. But either way, it wouldve been pretty cool to have him there. :P

Would be cool, maybe, but these videos are meant to teach how to play the songs. And to accomplish that mission guitarists are better than the singer i think.

Personally, I think Jack should create a series of videos showing vocal technique for songs (in this case Tribute), and THAT could be kick-ass - they could call it "Singings". Either way, I doubt that would happen, bearing in mind Jack has a hell of a lot on his plate in Hollywood and making the next D album - so I doubt that would happen. Let's start a comment vote - who would like "Singings"?
