You know I just discovered this film last year. the music is very good. i dont know why they called it a horror film. it smore lika suspense thriller with great music.
My neighbors worship trees, they pin dead animals (squirrels, rabbits, birds) to trees and dance during the spring equinox around a large tree with an Egyptian style face carved in it. They have several trees with faces carved into them, even a tree with a "mummy" in it. Can anyone explain this?
I must admit, I know the words to this off by heart. One of my favourite soundtracks, and despite what anyone may think, the word favourite contains the letter U.
@Blabloo72 Once again, another tough guy speaks big words from the saftey of his own home.
I'm ten years younger than you, a 15 stone+ former boxer, with a fight record of 147 fight 43 knockouts and 16 losses. And seeing as you live in Liverpool, I will gladly come and meet you and show you what this dickhead is capable of.
That's if you're man enough Ian, to come alone and unarmed. Bring your pc's keyboard, you may wish to type some insults at me hard case...
Have a blessed Lammas night one and all. Padstow, England still throws this festival every year with the Hobby Horse! Greeting from The Adirondack, N.Y.
hey man the director of the original wicker man is making a sequel to the orginal set on the same scotish island and it has christopher lee in it aswell
@manhuntAC I can't wait for The Wicker Tree, it won't come anywhere near this but it'll be interesting. The only reason it'll be interesting is because it is being directed by the original director of The Wickerman, which is just awesome.
Ye i agree with you there man but this time i hope atleast one of the main characters will survive and it will also be cool if there will be some kick ass songs in the Wicker Tree like in the original, btw there is also going to be another movie after the Wicker Tree
You know what I saw this film halfway through one night by chance. It didnt strike me as a "horror flick". A mystery thriller yes, but not a horror flick. The story and music is really good. Cant believe i missed knowing about this movie.
@Rowanriver You know, I think it´s better than sitting in front of PC or watching TV.. I wish you could taste, I did, as a small kid.. But these times are almost gone.. it´s sad :-/
Interesting it's the BOYS dancing around the maypole. I think the music in this film was mostly written for it, but they did great with the traditional and pagan symbolism.
Yeah, when I saw the CGI on the trailer, it put me right off! If they have to add special effects then they have obviously lost the idea of what made this such an excellent film in the first place.
"Maypole". Thats true for the northen hemisphere. Here it would be an "Octoberpole". Haha.
