  • nice one .thanks for vid

  • by mounting the shock the way we did, we were able to utilize a 8" travel shock and still maintain 16" of travel in the suspension, while keeping all of the suspension components below the frame rails and inside the body.

  • The reason why we setup the shock mount this way is because the rear suspension has 16+ inches of travel an there was no where to mount the shock (in a traditional manner) and clear all of the moving suspension components and exhaust. We would have had to have a offroad style shock with 16 inches of travel and it would have stuck up above the frame rails on some ridiculously large shock mount.

  • the shock absorber shouldn't go "IN" when the frame rises. it should "Pull Out" when the frame rises

  • @LittleTimeOff, that depends on what kind of absorber you have put there.. it doesn't have to be a directional one you know, look at the ones connecting a body to a frame on a truck, they are not single directional they work both ways equally good though you need to have the "plane"-level at the center of the displacement.

    Sorry for bad english.

  • What is all the linkage for that shock. Im curious. Honestly I don't understand the point at all.

  • Nice.

  • Nice setup.

  • well i dont care what all the other "know it alls" say... it looks very very cool and reminds me alot of the polaris rush rear suspension on the snowmobile... might work pretty good!!

  • hey this might be one of the best air ride setups i seen.. this guy here totally got creative

  • rear suspension its not a problem front mcpherson with air thats a big broblem if you want to do it from scratch. :D

  • @colimenco shut up geek mind ur own business

  • Nice design

  • Interesting Setup. Thanks for posting the video....

  • nice man im bout to bagg my durango here with in the next week or so ive been trying to think of some off the wall crazy set up like the watts link or a cantilever not just a 4 link like everyone else has lol nice work check out the vid of mine

  • Well heres what i gotta say, im working on a 1983 toyota pick up and my rear end was setup the same way yours is ... what i think is wrong with this desing is all it dose is go up and down , can you just lift the driver side or pass. , beacuse of this design im redoing the rear setup i want mine to be a four link for control of each bag ..... but other than that im not knocking your work looks good

  • i had a 95 chevy the baggs were in the same spot as thows and my truck caught on fire and blew up just messing i never had a problem,

  • looks pretty sweet. ive seen the lever setup for the strut like like but thats a pretty crazy design. like to see it when its done

  • very nice setup.

  • thats really weird because as the axle comes up the shock absorbers should compress not pull out.

  • ahhaha i noticed that too nice fuck up!

  • Thats funny... because its valved backwards and it works perfectly .. Retard!

  • how was i to know that..ps u put the bags in a shitty spot

  • HA! Ya.. you obviously know what your talking about.. Im going to go home right now and cut all my bag mounts cause shupster369 says they are in a "Shitty spot".. Please, enlighten us, why is that a bad spot for the bags... I'd be very interested to hear from a professional like yourself.

  • nice setup you should post a video of the finished truck but don't let shupster369 know ha ha ha

  • @bagged69chevy

ya the bags are in a perfect spot! This is a wicked setup. Such a creative shock mount design. People should use their brains or do some research before they make comments saying that its wrong.

  • @shupster369
