The average ppm-number the last tenth of millions of years is >1000 ppm. In this time when humans existed the last 20 million years it was warmer. The high CO2 rates and higher temperature was benificial for the Earth and the environment.

Furthermore, there is sufficient evidence that the sun goes through solar cycles that increase and decrease the energy output of the sun. These solar cycles have coincided with previous ice ages, and very hot periods in earths history. It has been a well proven point that the rise in carbon dioxide, according to the ice core data, takes place about 400 to 800 years after the warming has already occurred. And yes the earth has been much much warmer in the past without the help of us humans.

The fact is that 2-50 million years ago the organisms were way different. With levels of CO2 that high it would cause massive bleaching of corals which depend on stable conditions and the hundreds of species which depends on corals, including humans will suffer.

The fact is, sure the earth will bounce back but how many millions of people that depend on the fish and the protection of corals suffer?

Why is >1000 ppm propaganda? It was warmer then. Heat caused higher CO2 rate, not the other way around; see Caillon et al, Science 2003.
