I'm 20 years old. My dad was born in 1946, my mom in 1953, I was raised on this type of music! I wish I could find a girl who loved this music, but I know I will never....But to hell with it! I'll rock out till I die!!!!!!!!!
I love this kind of music. The clothing, the tv, the movies, the slang, everything. God made a mistake having be being born in the 90's. I don't belong in this generation.
@natarieeecat Elvis too, im in my late 20's and been listenin to this music for a hell of a long time, probably before ya was born. its good to know ya like this music. Michael Jackson was Jackson 5. Michael did too much to hiself in the late 80's, bleachin and surgeries. Elvis didnt do nothin like that. Michael is a good singer just wishin he didnt grab his ball sack and went bleached, etc
@prettybabyface105 alot of it today aint music, its computer crap unless its country music, real instruments. r&b today aint crap, just people wanna look like pimps and ya know what the other one is for women. not alot of them cant sing.rap was invented by a white guy for ya to dance too and that was the best rap. todays rap is nothin sex, drugs, money and killin. country is bout drinkin, God, make or losin relationships. ya hear bout some dyin in or fightin but its bout God!

@countrydude03 sure, blame the turmoil and disillusionment of mankind on God. Claim that country USA has it locked down, naive to say the least, stupid at best.
It's interesting to look back on some of these songs and realize that the lyrics are terribly depressing! Awesome song though, I grew up listening to this when I was a kid
I'm only 19, but I remember this song growing up. When I was about 7, dad's boss didn't have money to pay him for a job had done, dad said that was ok, but his boss refused to leave him go unpaid, so he gave him a beautiful jukebox. Mom loved it and played it anytime we cleaned or spent time together as a family. We would turn the tv off just to listen to the old 45s. This song brings back so many memories of my childhood. These are the types of songs that touch our hearts, unlike today's music
@SweetieXKay my seventeen year old daughter and i jive to this song. she asked me to teach her and when she showed off in front of them, they thought she was nuts
@Num3ro0cho It does.... read some statistics or study socio-cognitive trends of new and upcoming generations and you will understand why it is precious to have a few young ones appreciate this music.

So true. Life was more simple up north. We would sit on the stoop until 1 and 2am in the morning, and no one bothered you. There was always music playing somewhere. I must say I enjoyed my teenage years.
@TravellerFellow I grew up listening to this music because both of my parents were teenagers in the 50's. If I had a time machine I think I would set it to like 1954 and stick around for a few years....I was a product of the 70's and spent my teen years in the 80's. I now have teenagers of my own and I cant believe how different it was from when I was a kid. My mom says the 50's were a very simple time. Just thought I would share.
@drewbie121971 Yeah lol i was a 90s baby and teen years starting 2000 and i would LOVE to be rockin in the 50s so much simpler. dont get me wrong i love computers and LED tvs but come on, the food was better the style was by far the neatest, and the music was epic... my grandparents didnt really listen to this that much but my uncle did lol hes cool
@drewbie121971 I'm a teen now...and let me tell you I wish I was a teen in the 80s so bad, but the 50s would have been next for me! The Doc needs to come up with something so I can send myself back in my DeLorean at 88 MPH!
@drewbie121971 exactly...I am a teen in this modern age....and I wonder where did society go since the early sixties....I wish I had a time machine too...everything was so much better...the best things were free and simple...man, I feel so depressed
@levi6169 I know that...but I feel like today we're getting more and more things which are suposed to improve our life...they don't improve anything....I wish we had simple things in life like they had...all you had to have was a good company ...now it has to be drugs, alcohol, .... that's why I don't go out...kids were raised a lot better back then, they respected the elder, even though they were "rebellious"
I try to keep an open mind about todays music but I just can't get into it. Disco was the last music Genre I really loved. Ah well. Life moves on, but if we can honor the past, maybe the future won't suck.
why does everyone under 19 feel compelled to tell us your age? nobody's asking how old anybody is. you're not winning any sort of award for coolness here. its more obnoxious than Trustafarians dumpster diving and train hopping every summer so they can convince their college friends that they know what its like to be poor.
Ive loved this song for years , my Dad was a Teddy Boy , and so were most of my friends' Dads , we used to listen to all their Rock N Roll 45s growing up in the 70s....

Nothin' like some Pure Gold Oldies!
Music was at its best in the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
Back when Rock & Roll was good, not this modern "Alternative" garbage!
Back when we had Doo-Wop and not Hip-Hop!
So in short, we need some Pure Gold Oldies, Good Old Classic Country, and Unholy Pagan Black Metal!
