Just a tip on the "not really using greater healing wave".

That's what most shammy healers macro together with Nature's Swiftness.

/cast Nature's Swiftness

/cast Greater Healing Wave

Like an enourmous emergency heal.

the greater healing wave is very helpful if you can predict big incoming damage like soul reaper on lich king for example. and ofc as someone mentioned, it will be the spell you will want to use together with NS.

i think the bigger heals would be for certain situation only. For example, some raids, i forgot which, i havent played in so long, the tanks needs big heals after a certain phase. I used only small heals when ever i played my shaman, and big heals on raid bosses. some cool upgrades though. Anyways, thanks for the info.

The only other use i see for Greater Healing Wave is when a Nature Swiftness Heal is required.

Could be a savior for pvp or diff pve boss situations

I'm a 6k gs Resto shaman. We decided to test out Heroic Halls of Reflection with the new talent changes. I was putting out 2.5k dps AS THE HEALER, and still not dipping below 90% mana the entire fight. You're basically half a dps class as well in 5-mans, now, since you really don't need to heal outside of refreshing Earth Shield and letting Healing Stream totem do their thing. I'm enjoying it. :)
