  • I met Mark King and Mike Lindup at Heathrow coming back from Amsterdam. I asked for a picture and they obliged, we had a quick chat and they were off. Really nice guys. the funny thing is i had Starchild paying on my IPod at the time i bumped into them.

  • When you come to a Level 42 video, just click "like" and listen. Now you're in. Peace!

  • CLASSSSSSSIC!!!!! awesome hit!!!

  • CLASSSSSSSIC!!!!!

  • A touch of Steely Dan but more musical and exciting in all departments.

Has Quincy Jones ever heard Level 42?

  • One of the greatest songs from LEVEL 42. I have seen them on tour in Essen. Amazing!!

  • Person who press the dislike button must be a shitchild ! Instead of all L42 real groovy awesomeness !

  • AWSOME!!!

  • 1 person dislike this video pressed the wrong button... silly person...

  • Put the fish jn the bucket mark hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • effing brilliant. my top five 80s band

  • SWEET!

  • Awesome, if you are American, nationalism does not apply to music. I ate dinner with the 'Queers'. Awesome punk band circa 1980. They were grown but they ROCK and can prove that punk lives. They were hangin' with Henry Rollins when he was in black flag.

  • lol keyboarder looks like pauly shore

  • Fantastic live.

  • amazing band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not saying that Gary Husand isn't an excellent drummer, but I just prefer Gould's drumming in this song. I love Husband's other Level 42 work though!

  • Awesome!

  • i can listen hours to Mark's triplets....

  • Over 4 Million members benaughtyman.info

  • After all old bands goes into reunion usually for live concerts only, Level 42 makes a great whole new, refreshing album and do great job live. Class!!!

  • It has always been one of my wishes, that Level 42 returns to the beginning of their succes on a brandnew album..... Less is more funk. So more songs like Love Games and Starchild.

  • I think Mikey Lindup's voice has gotten better than it was before. He can still hit the falsetto nicely.

  • this was and always will be my favorite Level 42 song! A true classic and Mark King is the king of bass.

  • They always played this one (and Turn It On) at the movie theatre where I worked.

Inbetween when people were getting seated (not the video just the music) and the commercials...

  • Awesome!

  • Oh, this is so killer!!!!!!

    FN wow...!!!!!

  • Mark Lindup nails the vocal on this one, probably the best this song has ever sounded since it's release:)

  • Love this song! Does anyone else tho think it sounds like a level in Sonic the Hedgehog tho?

  • MEMORIES, MEMORIES MEMORIES!! BAY 6, BRIGHTON BEACH & THE FOUNTAIN IN CENTRAL PARK. lUV THEM 80'S.. NYC!!!!

  • This live version is simply brilliant. Mark's bass is funky and Mike's falsetto is absolutely b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. My favorite for sure.

  • Just Soooo love that Level Funk, Cheers!

  • the best

  • Absolutely beautiful thank you Daven :D

  • Better live than digital thank goodness they tour this summer

  • Wow! This brings back so many memories!!!! Thanks for sharing :)

  • first time i herd this was @ vinyl mania in the village iwas just getting my record collection together and manny the guy who worked ther at the time asked me if i wanted it,i asked him to play it for me and i loved it ever since! thanks dude!

  • imagine what this would sound like if prince covered it, it would b interesting 2 hear...funky breakdance and dj classic, u all just don't know how free we truly were when this came out...hip hop classic 4 ever. 4 those who know!!

  • top man on the bass

  • wow......!!!

  • Mark King is still KING of the bass!

  • Boy sounds Realy Funky Live. Great Job

  • Terrific song...is it just me, or did vintage L42 songs like this remind anyone else of classic Michael Jackson? I'm referring to his "Off the Wall" album primarily...his "Baby Be Mine" tune has very Level 42-esque bass lines and keyboards

  • Age shall not weary them....these guys are mint!!! Love this stuff....

  • Mike's voice is flawless here. Mark does not appear "weary" here as this performance is full of vibrant energy. These guys get better every year as practice makes perfect.

  • AB-SO-FRIGGIN-LUTELY!!! WAHOOO!!

  • Wally Badarou is a genious for coming up with the idea to this song!

Would have prefered less sequencers live though

  • AMAZING LIVE VERSION !! AWESOME

  • Such a great song and what a great live performance... Best band ever!!! Just love the sound of Mark's Retroglide KingBass ;-) !!!!

  • love this shit

  • Maybe in some kind of space!? I was a really young guy, as i listened the first time to level42.

Turn it on was my favorit... Afterwards "kansas city milkman" and so on....

I love it, with every beat of my heart (i´m german, so sorry about all that trouble) :-)

...and for all about there i live and i was was born!

  • This song brought my soul back to myself. Where have I been?

  • AWSOME!!! I wish they would do a reunion special with just the original members.....that would be a real treat.

  • I have this dream too, see Boon, Phil, Mike and Mark together again... I could die in peace....

  • Man.. Brings back memories!! A group that was heavy in Europe, only to be shortchanged in America. I saw them in concert 25 years ago, would love to see them again.....

  • Great bass line mark king brilliant i love you!!!!!!!!!!

  • Still brilliant LIVE ANIMALS!

  • groooove :p

  • We have time.Time & Space... Great!

  • it is as relevant today as it was back in the day!! love it,

  • This jam is so classic, I can recall listening to little louie vega jammin this track @ club ceilo & the base & the crowd man i need some air can't breath, ok the vibe was so amzin can't really explain, everyone was in such a trance love classic disco/jazz .

  • The 12" version of this still doesn't sound very outdated at all. Very ahead of its time.

I can't stop listening to this tune at the moment, it is making me want to take up DJing house music again

  • Brilliant tune

  • Amazing after all those years!

    6 out of 5!!

  • this one and love games.BRILLIANT.

  • My favourite Level 42 tune of all time!

  • This music is still in tune and will always be

  • Wow My Favourite Song of the first album!

  • what a wicked track!!

  • Love love this song! Always had! And I like that shirt Mike is wearing, very vintage!

  • it's a blouse, i have quite thesame:D im addicted to it :D

  • It's a Noel Edmonds shirt :p

  • What is a Noel Edmonds shirt? hahha Dave has the same shirt, can you believe that? hahahha

  • Hi Madeleine - a Noel Edmonds shirt is a shirt Noel Edmonds (TV Presenter) wears on the UK version of Deal or No Deal (usually look quite mad to say the least!)

  • I must tell you, Dave has the exact same shirt and it is hanging with my clothes. I look at it every day and think, "Gee I think Mark King left this here". It sure is vintage, but so cool. hahha

  • really when you hear this song a few times it's average. but then you start to hear every music line apart, and each the album version and this version have unique lines. not a bad choice!!!

  • I real tredy Dj mate of mine played the 12" of this a a recent London loft party (4am)and it rocked apparently so disco or not it must hit the right notes....!!!

  • prophet 5 baby !

  • One of their finest trax, however I prefer the album version...

  • each to their own - I think this is version is better.

  • I second that:-)

  • i too prefer the live versions ... you just cannot recreate the studio effect ..and frankly sometimes thats a good thing !!!

  • the album version was really disco, and im not into their disco style, so i like this one better

  • Fantastic song cant wait for tour to his Manchester in October!!
