The Wii version actually takes this original game concept a lot farther than many expected. If you beat the Blob King once, you gain access to the Grape-flavoured Jellybean, where the blob will transform into a mecha upon consumption, and the boy can ride in the blob. :D

I loved this game when I had it for NES. I recall playing it, but getting mad in the forest. It was a very fun game though, but also very vague. It confuses me as to why they remade this game for Wii, but a game as popular as Kid Icarus has never gotten a re-boot.
