  • my hockey player boyfriend and the rollers...... great weekends!

  • Sigh.....it's official. I'm going to marry them. Yes, you heard me. Them. All of them. I'd be in BCR heaven. Who needs Brad Pitt when you have the Rollers? I know my pick. I seriously can't get enough of these guys. Seriously!!!! I listen to "each" of their songs like a thousand times over and over again. It's amazing I can hear anymore.

  • I was thirtheen when i bought the first vinyl of them.

Time has passes but still their music feels so good.

  • B-A-Y, B-A-Y,

    B-A-Y, C-I-T-Y,

    With an R-O-double-L, E-R-S,

Bay City Rollers are the best!

    Eric, Derek, Woody too,

    Alan, Leslie, we love you,

  • Good, but nothing tops Dusty Springfield's version

  • I was a HUGE Roller fan. It was my first concert in Miami...Got all dressed in tartan and waved a banner...Such innocent days! I bought a greatest hits cd and play it for my kids...I dont think they get it!

  • @thunderstormslover62 innocent days for sure...got caught smoking in secret and got belted

  • this song is awesome!

  • they suddenly look really qute in their matching outfits....and their music was always so catchy you just had to like it....they were very popular in germany where I grew up...

  • cant beat this kind of music. nowadays everyone's listening to music about drinking, hating people, or screwing someone.

  • @jackslicl100 sorry Jack I also have my nostalgic moments and watch this but the BCR where in their time also considered as a crappy commercial boy band (as the Rubettes and the like). I mean in 1976 AC/DC, the Sex Pistols and Bob Marley where also around..

  • @BobLemkeSux.....How do you know me so well??? I guess your mom told you all about our escapades on the road following bands. Actually, your mom was more than happy to blow the roadies and stagehands just to get me to the Rollers! Tell her I miss those days and thanks for what she did for me!

  • Not quite sure I follow your comment "voiceofhindu", but if my fate is to be working class because I like the music of the Bay City Rollers, then so be it. Call it crap, if you will...that is your opinion, but otherwise your comment makes no sense.

@seamahon...they were worked to death by Tam Paton (their manager) and a bunch of greedy corporate b@stards to line their own pockets by the boys' talent and success. They had very little time off during tht time. Probably why they were so thin.

  • @Jules91961 you blew so many roadies and stagehands and security guards just to get to The Bay city Rollers and other rockers for the past 35 years Im surprised your stomach didnt explode by now.

  • l love the rollers and i loved the 70s. Happy music not the rubbish so called music of today.

  • ...I was in a german girls`boarding school at that time.

After school lessons,we went into our rooms to hear some music,

or we `ve been watching TV in the TV-room. Whenever we discovered the BAY CITY ROLLERS playing their music at the "hitparade",-we were calling each other..."oh,-come and look,

the BAY CITY ROLLERS will sing next..."- and then the rest of all pupils came into the TV-room,- cause nearly everybody wanted to watch& listen to them.

    They made rally good music.

  • @AntjeSeeger Did you lick each other out, to the music ? Hmm nice.

  • i love this type music and im only 15. most of todays music is crap.

and i went to see Les McKeown live at easter and he was great

  • @dakotahstr i agree completely. at least thet played music unlike the CRAP out there today. thanks for your comment...

  • Amazing! These guys are great!

It blows my mind how much Eric Faulker looks like Paul McCartney XD

  • @NezMaccaHam Yea you´re right! Just like Paul in his young days!

  • didnt last very long did they. so just how good were they??

  • @jackslicl100 they still lasted pretty long and plus there manager took most of there money and also back in the seventies there was a lot of great bands it would be pretty hard too last long in that time

  • AMEN to that & I agree with you 110%.

  • greaty lookin guys mmm

  • *Shakin butt* Any ladies wanna dance?

  • yep sure lol

  • Rates right up there with the original by Dusty Springfield. I still have this version by the Bay City Rollars on a 45rpm record. I bought one for my girlfriend (at the time) Kathy Walkup and one for me. We use to play it over and over when i was with her.

  • I think this version is just as good as Dusty's. Not better but equal to. Her's is excellent as well.

  • Les was such a fab frontman-he had so much charisma. Eric had the best hair though!

  • what were those wardrobe designers thinking of???? lol. Great song though, still makes me hum it... after all these years ::))

  • Yea, remember rollermania, went to see them when i was 16, was in love with les, haha.

  • Best version

  • Aren't they adorable??

    Just love the song!

  • any one got the clip of them singing this where Les says 'check it out' at the beginning? think it was from totps..

  • Blows away Dusty Springfield's original version, as did most of their covers. Bye Bye Baby, Don't Worry Baby, Keep on Dancing and Rebel Rebel are other examples.

  • I could not agree more.Best Band there ever was. This is my Favorite all time song.

  • what they were crap all they did was copy other great bands music., where are they now ? I knw the fat poof manager is dead.

  • there is very little music out today. the kids have been brain washed into thinking crap like RAP is music.. feel sorry for them.

  • It is true , no talents and unit voices today..

  • @jackslicl100 ...never feel sorry for someone with a private jet...

  • @jackslicl100 Elite ensures that middle class kids and the poor stays in that same spectrum - Listen to crap music and stay woriking class ....

  • @jackslicl100 You can't spell cRAP without RAP.

  • I was a BCR fanatic in the 70's and still have my LP's to remind me of those innocent times!!! They were great back then - great memories. Thanks for posting.

  • Sweet, cheerful, catchy feel-good music....positive, innocent, and upbeat....Maybe there would be no "Emos" if this kind of music still existed?

  • Hey is there any Real BCR-Fan?..I'm asking because perhaps he or she can tell me all names of them and who is who of course...PLEASE that would be so nice !!!!

  • I know that the Bass Player is Pete and not Alan..^^ I'm SURE!

  • Ok it's Woody(Stuart Wood) in "real" he is german and his name is Peter^^

  • The one on the right playing a quitar is Ian Mitchell

  • The lead singer is Les McKeown, the drummer is Derek Longmuir, Stuart 'Woody' Wood is the bass player, Eric Faulkner is the lead guitar, rhythm guitar is Ian Mitchell.
