  • this some how scares me

  • çnr ti,mnuntg ib/Kw

  • Oh thank you so much :D!!

I was searching for a solution because I thought there was something wrong, but it looks like all my speakers DO actually work. Thank you so much :D!!

  • sounds awesome on my Bose acoustimass 10 all 11 speakers had the house rumbling

  • Sweet

  • Star Wars FTW!

  • This is not true surround sounds YouTube does not support 5.1

  • @TheDeeDrizzy Yes, it supports.

I just checked this with my 5.1...

  • i think i just had a eargasm

  • thumbs up for DOLBY DIGITAL!!!!!

  • whats the starting sound? Like the quiet to loud thingy? I have just got a surround sound system and it sounds really cool! :) Thanks people! And this sounded alight regardless of 2 channel it did work for all speakers though :P

  • @KSITREVS Starting sound is named THX - 2Way.mp3

  • Who has Dolby Pro Logic II can convert 2.0 into 5.1

  • wow tha was loud

  • This is stereo only. Not 5.1 sound

  • it's surround but it's a THX test and the video get Dolby logo :D

  • not surround!!! it's stereo;)

  • I haven't seen any starwars for years. I wanna watch it now lol

  • this was bullshit.. my laptop speakers sounded exactly the same as they normally do.. i don't get it!!!!

  • Youtube encodes the audio in 2 channels. This videos has 2 audio channels, not 5.1

  • @GagleKas How come I can hear it on my rear speakers then when like none of the movies I have can?

  • @GagleKas No, you can encode 5.1 surround sound but the download is much more greater then the original 2 channels music/sounds. I'm currently testing my 5.1 surround and each and every single speaker is working perfectly fine.

  • @Diablo3wc4lyf - what do u download? and where? Cheers

  • @GagleKas Yeah i was like my amp is broken lol lights was only showing left and right channels

  • @GagleKas Actually only 2 channels can hold Surround sounds. Because even your head holds 2 channels (your left & right ear)..

  • @GagleKas Actually it does have more than 2, hence my back speakers + side speakers are playing so get your facts right, youtube has had 5.1 from mid-2011

  • @GagleKas Nope. Youtube has supported 5.1 for a few months.

  • @Nameless164 Ye, it has =)

  • Noobs, it needs to be 1080p to turn on some of the 5.1

  • @PhoenixFireFx fool... 1080 is for video

  • @madskylz6 no fuckin shit lol? 1080 makes the quality higher, u wonder why its slower loading? cos its rendering out all the new sounds. for the bass n whatnot

  • jizz!

  • i have a home cinema set, when i set it to "prolog" a 2.1 channel is converted to 5.1 channel, that is what most people will hear.

But a "cinema" or "matrix" will remain 5.1 so i wont hear my rear channels.

  • ok i have got it

the youtube site is proberly has 2 channal

BUT if u have 5.1 speakers that can convert the 2 channal sound than u got 5.1

E.G if u hav logitch z506 than it will b converted to 5.1 there r speakers out there that cant so i know for sure this is all all true

    thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

  • im using logitech z506 and it works on 5.1 sooo every who dissagrees with me ur so wrong but in a way it onistly depends on what speakers u have

  • @JAYD4UatCOM SAME HERE:D OHSUM

  • @JAYD4UatCOM Same but the center speaker isn't playing.

According to my windows 7 my realtek hd driver is up to date.

Also I had to use the speaker fill enhancement to get them to even play at all from my audio jack.

  • @TheSmartestTaco

the z506 speakers im now using it with the ps3 we brought recently and it sounds awsome and looks awsome(blue ray)

  • upscaling 2 channel to 5.1 is NOT 5.1...it just repeats the signal ..so you hear the same 2 channels from 5 speakers...any digital algorithm simulating upscaling recreates a false 5.1 sound...so if this source is 2 channel theres no way you hear the original 5.1...the rest is just crap.. even if you vae 1.000.000 speakers and a 11.1 surround audio card..

  • I only get sound from my sub and front left speaker from this. I'm running an Auxiliary to AV (Red, Yellow, White) from my laptop into a Sony Surround sound 5.1.

  • thank you this is helped

  • Makes me get chills all over my back...aaaah

  • im just testing out my Ilive sound bar. ehh they're okay..

  • Audio Format: AAC Format/Info: Advanced Audio Codec Format profile: LC Codec ID: 10 Duration: 7mn 47s Bit rate: 109 Kbps Channel(s): 2 channels Channel positions: Front: L R Sampling rate: 44.1 KHz Compression mode: Lossy
  • "2 channels"

  • this isnt even a high def video, aka, this is NOT true surround what so ever. fucking ridiculous man

  • @GoodFellows420 You don't need High Definition to listen in 5.1 surround sound you dipshit.

  • Working Great on my Thomson DPL911VD Home Cinema :D

  • Doesn't work properly. I have my PC connected to an AV Receiver via optical audio outputting to proper speakers and the sound is in stereo only. Sorry to disappoint y'all xD

  • Youtube does NOT support 5.1 channel audio, if the sound comes from all of your five speakers doesn't mean the audio track is 5.1. Windows xp has a feature called HAL (hardware abstraction layer) which allows the sound to come from all of the speakers, this feature is removed in Vista and Win7. although you can go to windows sound options and enable "speaker fill" which does the same thing.

  • nice test....... loving my SONY MDR-XD100 even more now....

  • @eyesheild01 Wait till when you upgrade to the MDR-XD 200's!

  • @MADMANx511 i will be having that one next. i give credits to the BEATS but practically, the sound seems the same. adding the fact that BEATS are frikin expensive man.... hehehe

  • @eyesheild01 Oh yeah, the MDR-XD200's have great sound quality for the price, and can even be as good as those ridiculously priced Beats.

  • Okay so to you guys who thinks this works.. make sure each individual channel works. Just because sound comes from you back speakers doesn't mean it's working. I have sound from my back speakers but I cannot for teh life of me figur eout how to get them to play the correct sounds

  • yep sounds great on my logitec x530 5.1 surround sound pc speakers

had to turn it down lol .

  • wow im going to start listening to all my movies on my headphones in dolby surround from now on. it is amazing

  • on youtube dolby prologic 2 is needed

  • All of the 5.1 surround tests work on my Logitec X530 5.1 Surround PC Speakers :-)

  • 5.1 audio works, so stop crying.

  • To every one who says that Youtube supports 5.1

when things are recorded up to youtube they are first converted to a Mp3 file Then a Special youtube file. The thing is. When converted to a mp3 A LOT of data is deleted and gone forever. the youtube format deletes even more than the mp3 format so...... when Mp3 dosent support surround.... well how the heck can a youtube format do so? SO you who hear sounds from youtube with 5 speakers ether has some program that copy the sound from front to back.

  • @rubseman amen

  • @rubseman youtube in the past year has released support for 5.1 surround sound audio tracks

  • @rubseman

Well, I have program which emulates 5.1

  • @rubseman how is it then possible for me to hear when they speak in the front speakers, and only the music in the rear speakers? I hace z-906 and I do hear surround sound on this vid. I put my ear close to see if I could hear any voices in the rear, and I did not. Hear them clearly in the front speakers. So your reasons doesnt make sence to my speakers as they do not copy the sound from front to back.

  • @rubseman YouTube never used mp3.... They had a mp4 format for a while but they use WebM now, which is a variation of MKV which does support various channels

  • btw im using a 9+ year old jvc reciever with 2 left/right speakers + center as rear and my tv speakers as makeshift front L/R speakers

  • i know this is old but ths does work for different surround sound settings i just set my ac3filter settings and i can hear from the individual speakers. i have 2 front and 2 rear plus center speaker and this video sounds amazing. so either belive me or don't but it works. whether or not it works for your specific surround sound system i dont know as i dont know the differences between them, but it works for me :)

  • this video doesn't support dolby digital the reason I know is because there would be their logo on the options like other videos that support it.

  • Gamecom Plantronics 777 headset!

  • Tritton AX720 dolby ! :D

  • ROCCAT KAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dolby digital isn't Pro Logic, matrix and discreet are 2 different things. This IS NOT Dolby Digital.

  • well my panasonic SA-PT22 work well because it support Digital Pro logic 2

  • idk wat u ppl are talking about.. works fine

  • YouNOOB

  • Works on my z906 as well. Coax & 3.5mm jacks.

  • Sounds crazy on my Bose Companion 5! :)

  • works in Logitech Z5400 wow

  • It works nicely with mine.

    Logitech x530

  • depends on it, youtrube supports stereo. some 5.1 have the option to turn stereo into 5.1 called "matrix" but the expensiver 5.1 like home cinema sets connected through optical, more cables or HDMI will support 5.1 with diffrent sound through each speaker called "cinema" or "prologic 1/2"

  • 5.1 does work on youtube with my logitech Z-5500

i think that some speakers sucks

  • @powerbink

i have the same speakers and i'm very happy with my setup.

  • 5.1 does work on youtube my does so who ever said it didnt their no it all

    and shit faces

  • @JAYD4UatCOM I am assuming that your terrible grasp on the human language increases your credibility? I will take his word over yours. Would you listen to a 5 year explain how sound works, or would you rather have a 43 year old specialist? In my eyes, he is the 43 year old, you are the 5 year old. I may have taken you more seriously if you went BACK to grade 3, and actually PAID ATTENTION in English Language Arts.

  • @JAYD4UatCOM

    actually it does

  • @DrBassdrop he DID say it works

  • @JAYD4UatCOM

You are highly retarded, Youtube only supports 2 channels, Learn your facts, also, learn a bit of english so you appear less stupid then you actually are.

  • @pepsicolaromania

I'm testing MEDUSA NX 5.1 - this record perfectly works on all six channels. Actually most of youtube's 5.1 test video's is real 5.1 records. It's my tenth video and only one video was stereo, not 5.1 while climbing to be 5.1

So I think something is wrong with your software if u' hear only front channels. Check manuals of your sound card manufacturer, or/and manuals of your 5.1 headset / 5.1 speakers manufacturers.

  • @LaimonasV

Don't YOU tell me to check my manuals. My 5.1 system works flawlessly on every game or movie I dll.

Youtube, The flash player (maybe even the browser) does NOT support multi-channel audio. And the best It might happen is for your decoder to be able to read the input from the flash player and duplicate the same audio effect on all channels. !

  • @pepsicolaromania You are wrong. I See - you don't know anything about flv format. You think it can have only MP3 sound track. But it's not. That's why some audio extractors can't extract MP3 from flv file - they can't decode AC3 for example.

Well if your system is working fine in other cases I suggest you to download K'lite codec pack. I think the problem could be here.

  • @pepsicolaromania no it supports 5.1, some videos dome have a much of the surround depth of others. it also supports the subwoofer

  • @suntman2011 Nope, i have the razer megalodon headset and if you hold in the mic sens button for 10 secounds you will be able to see what speakers are being used. The only speakers being used are the stereo ones, epic fail if you think that this is real -.-

  • @TheDopeyGamer i wus juss saying becuase of pepsicolaromania's comment. but youtube can play on all the speakers you got. don't know that person could think of such a thing.

  • Comment removed

  • @JAYD4UatCOM depends on sofware and hardware, youtube only plays stereo. My one works now only after i used "Speaker Fill"option, on my Realtek HD Audio Manager

  • Z906 speakers and my G35 powns :)

  • what the fuck is going on...as soon as I click on play my pc kinda crashes

  • @nkeaton1986 hi

  • not an epic fail it played 5.1 on my speakers just fine but I have creative speakers with x-fi soundblaster that has software to upscale 2 channel to 5.1 so...

  • ah yes the good old star wars...Fight at 2:50!!!! Thumbs up if you where a bystander!

  • Works fine on my 5.1 rig

  • @jazz999amb LMAO loozr!!!

  • @LtFluffelz dont be a cock

  • you tube does support surround it works on my mac book pro

  • @jjamazing1 Macbook Pro only has two speakers...

  • @UnboundLegend i am talking about my headphones pluged into the output earphone jack

  • Maybe some day they will support 5.1 as they will have video"store?" etc.

  • what's the name of the song of the start

  • @xXiamub3rXx It's the Dolby DTS main Theme

  • @kelava85 w w w.dolby.c o m/consumer/understand/enhancement/dolby-headphone.html

  • @kelava85 HTML5 does, but flash does not!

  • @kelava85 240p - stereo

    360 and 480p - Quadraphonic

    720 and 1080p - 5.1 surround sound

  • @kelava85 ehh...epic fail,cause i can hear my 5.1 :D

  • @kelava85 Yeah, thats why my 2 back thingy's don't work, but when i use a cd, it works xD

  • @kelava85 plug in you headphones then it does but you have to have it set on 480p or higher

  • @kelava85

Any system with Dolby Pro logic 2 will work :p

  • @kelava85 Youtube has just incorporated 5.1 channel support. : D

  • @kelava85 your comment is 3 months old.................i think they do now

  • @kelava85 you underestimate the power of the force...

  • @kelava85 Yes it does. Prick.

  • @kelava85 your a fail, you cant hear it cause 1. you have a crap headset 2. you have no surround system

  • @kelava85 ur such a idiot

  • @kelava85 I'm using headsets that support it and man is this amazing.

  • You may note that youtube videos are stereo...

  • Logitech Z5500 ftw :D

  • Roccat Kave FTW <3

  • Bose lifestyle ftw <3

  • Razer megalodon FTW <3

  • lolz Razer Megalodon FTW!!

  • @jpf1138 as .? well hello - i don't know about Ur limited abilities in Sound (RE) Engineering .. but take a minute or two - to consider this ...

I have already MADE several Multi_Ch surround sound effects remasterings .. using JUST mono dictaphone tape microcassette recordings

There's a short video "cut" here on YT

Cut from my tripello.xanga (dot)com 12 minute "audio" version of:

    WW3 "Planes"

The Planes - yes the PLANES - they're coming

    (& coming & coming & ... OMG "still" coming)

  • UFA...

    "_U_F_A_"

I can already hear U screaming

    What the PHUX ... UFA

    ?

Well - quite simply - UFA is this...:

Seven Spanish Angels Play Harmonic Cordophones - 64.77 Million Ch of Unidentifiable Ficticious Audio

  • Hahaha- isn't it ALSO- just soo funny.? When so-called DIGITAL EXPERT's Put their STATIC "picture" video's of a ? DOLBY DIGITAL PICTURE Into their ? purportedly amazing videos Such as this one: Surround Sound Test ( 5.1 recommended or better ) ? And then- DO NOT- "auto_grant" others: The right to "respond" with ANALOGUE examples (until approved) AS YOU CAN BET UR BOTTOM DOLLAR (mine won't be) So.? Want to view mine direct-? Seven Spanish Angels Play Harminic Cordophones via UFA
  • Oh & how do I "know" all these things.?

    Well SHEEZ_BRO .. !!!

I've been an audio GEEK_FREAK - for over 45yrs .. having discovered SIX & SEVEN chs of analogue audio - away back in 1965 - purely by accidsent - as I was trying to "retro-fit" some el-cheapo kit_bashed mono electronic amps (2x - 9volt DC powered jobbies) INTO a de-wired 4track dual reversing Philips Reel-to-Reel machine - after i broke a glass valve thingie thing...?

  • @QUIX4U "I've been an audio GEEK_FREAK - for over 45yrs"......

and yet you manged to make yourself sound like you still get your ass wiped by your papi.... or is it your grandson! fucking shit man! don't go trolling all these people, expecting them to think you know what your talking about, whilst seeming like you need to go back to school! thats not how you do it you fucked up tard-cake!

  • Oh yes .. the POWER of the (analogue) force..

    in ???

    19_point_5_point_1

    46speakers

    NO SWEET SPOT

    ?

    Or..

Try a simple "max'd_out" analogue surround version

    (on any 2ch system)

    watch?v=Y6cq82D1W0U&feature=player_detailpage#t=145s

  • SOMEONE HELP!!!!

I have an ASUS M4A79XTD motherboard & a soundblaster audigy 4, ineed to know if they're 5.1 surround sound.

  • yep i really do

  • could sum1 help me?my rear speakers make like, the smallest of noise ever, how can i make them louder?

  • @PhoenixFireFx Or.. simply THROW AWAY - whatever useless digital "decoder_system" U happen to be using & simply HARD WIRE IN a mega multich QUIX analogue Deplexer_Decoder, which'll actually GIFT you - a full NINE CH's - direct .. from ANY 2ch signal output .. from any 2ch stereo amp (unless it's an el_cheapo amp that uses a NON_EARTHED .. bridged circuit - to boost it's ch outputs .. thus INSERT a SIMPLE - EARTH LOOP ISOLATOR - to allow for a "GROUNDED" - centre 2ch (aux) amp to then be used

  • could sum1 help me? my rear speakers make like, the smallest of noise ever, how can i make them louder?

  • @PhoenixFireFx It all depends on what type of receiver you have

  • @PhoenixFireFx Yep .. WIRE THEM "correctly" phased..

(even if you have to "open" them up - to SEE which termminals are Positive & Negative

As anything that's reversed polarised - will be "audibly-fifghting" with the sound pressure waves - of all other speakers in your system..

And thus - MAY actually create funny "little" buzzing sounds even

  • To all those who think that g35 is virtual sorround know ur facts

  • 5.1 is old school now and hopefully soon out of the market, because u know its dying be honest

  • Roccat Kave 5.1 with real surround sound > g35

  • Youtube isnt even 5.1!

  • @kmann1994 tiz fool!!

  • I'm using Trittion ax 720's unreal

  • @davidson16 me too =)

  • I'm using Siberia v2 USB :O

  • Logitech G930 Wireless ftw ;)

  • NOT BAD !

  • epic start

  • Razer Megalodon 7.1 <3

  • Astro A40 - AWESOME!

  • thanks george lucas!

  • YouTube only encodes audio to 2 ch stereo, regardless of what format was uploaded (ie. 5.1 PCM). Thought you all should know this.

  • @jpf1138 lol this is what I was thinking 2.

  • @jpf1138 2 channel doesn't mean that sounds can't use only specific parts of each channel

  • @TViYH @ 2 channel audio can use left and right channels and supplement low tones with a subwoofer. This is otherwise known as stereophonic sound. As for this video being a 5.1 surround exhibition, it is definitely not that. It is in 2 channel stereo. Getting 2 channels to sound like 5 requires digital signal processing and a sound card which supports this, as well as the video being encoded as such. Then it could "trick' your ears into hearing surround, but it is not true surround.

  • @jpf1138 WOW..? whata loud of codswallop? (do u really believe all of that "commercially" expunged digital HYPE .. OMG - U poor sod.)
