What's your problem with not making a young adult not choosing for himself. You as a parent can tell your kid what you think. But if he decided to do it, would you stop him? Why are you the deciding authority to prevent young adults to choose what they want to do with the rest of their life when it comes to other people's children. How can a recruiter "brainwash" a would-be servicemember. The war is all over the news. Why not let people have the freedom to do what they want.
Wow...You make it sound as if ADULTS(not children,since you must be 18+ to serve in the military) are unable to think for themselves. Recruiters do their best to educate people about the military, what jobs are available and how it can help people out. Yes, they are allowed to go into schools thanks to the Patriot Act. The Act gives them the same rights as Universities, who come to High Schools to recruit possible students.
and we also have a free speech right to say "hell no" to counter the "freew choice" .... the recruiter only want one thing "fresh meat for the war machine" period!! ... they need "bodies" They need boots filled... they need to keep the conveyor belt dumping young kids into killing others, for their paycheck... they need bodies to replace the DEAD ones!
be sure and point out he was referring to how ANTI-peace thinking people ...WHO only know "how to kick ass" and "HATE Peace" - his point was..that those kind of people will 'appreciate peace' once they get beat up then their Bad Ass Attitude doesnt hold water. Basically he said that "anti peace people" only know fighting ...& when they get beat up then they want peace. (figures huh?!)
Did this kid actually say..."There's always going to be someone against peace until they, ya know, get knocked in the face by someone, ya know, until someone else bigger than them comes and shows them."...maybe he's why police show up to peace rallies, to keep his kind from knocking someone in the face, ya know. Think I'll use this video in my class to show the mindset of "peace" activists...thanks Joe.
Recruiters lie like hell! You cant trust anything they say at all. Anyway to get U in there, then your up the creek!

Well of course... yes they do have "freedom of speech"
But does that mean they can go into my kids school and "recruit"?
And if so ...are peace groups also afforded chance to apply the "free speech" by going into schools to offer a counter opinion?
I think getting young impressionable kids to fight dirty sicking wars is actually shameful and abusive...
