Doctors in Australia used to be given too much respect. Not that they don't deserve respect but it was too much. People used to dress up to go to the doctor when I was little. So I guess that Dr. treating Josie was arrogant. He presumed it was in her best interest not to tell her yet. Kind of like Judy's self righteous friend who dobbed Judy in 'for her own good'.
