if you check out my channel theres a video of me playing a red guitar with my old dreads which were long and i didnt maintain them see if you prefer them they were pretty messy. i keep these ones clean to keep the work and wife happy

and yeah its my music just stuff i sit at home and record little dities to amuse myself defo a healthy hobbie to have i recomend writting music to everyone

alll i did for me dreads is back comb throw three elastics on each of them and a couple beads(wood) and wait no need for wax they lock in like 3 months cauz of natural curl and washing them with natural shampoo!

i did use wax twice sparingly in the first 3 months but if you get your crochet technique down you really shouldnt need it i have since dreaded other people with out and they look just as good without it

i would say 2 inchs would be the smallest as you need something to grab hold of.

mine were a bit fiddly to do.

or you could grow yr hair longer, dread them , then cut to size.

i garuntee after washing then they shouldnt look any different after a wash as they would of had time to get really stuck together i use that dreadhead shampoo the lengths of mine are so tight now i never touch them but every couple of months i tidy up my new hair growth with the crochet hook and clockwise rubbing technique.

cheers dude, the first thing to consider is that mine are 6 months older than yours and if yrs are starting to fuse at the roots that could be seen as a good thing check out bob marleys my wife sectioned of my hair very neatly before i started to dread mine which maybe helped but i would'nt worry about that some people dont like to see the partings between but depends what you want.with regards to the tips if you get yr crochet needle technique down do yr whole head and dont wash them 4 6months

your dreads are great mate :) I'm at the 3-4'th month since i made mine but they don't look that good, they kinda fused at the roots and my blunted tips are... kinda not blunted now :)) do you use regular residue free shampoo or special ones ? and at the begining how often did you had to repair your dreads ?
