I love meat but have been transitioning to vegan. One thing that I gave noticed is how some some vegans get very nasty, aggressive and over the top nuts about meat eaters. Some do put themselves above other. It is worse than over the top Christian preachers who point the finger. I wish that they could just live their life in a caring and loving way and respect all people regardless of personal lifestyle choices.
I'm not much for Peta and I am vegan. I don't think shoving political beliefs like you're the best thing since air popcorn is the way to go. I would still eat meat if I didn't have a medical condition. I'm allergic to most meats. If it's going to eventually send me into some sort of funky allergic shock eating meat becomes pointless. The eco thing is definitely me. I drink Brita water and keep a rain barrel. That's my preference though and it saved my family about $200 this year.
Heh these vegans seem to forget that we are omnivores. They allso forget that pretty much all lifeforms kill and consume other forms of life to sustain themselves...only exception i can think off would be bacteria feeding on vulcanic springs on ocean floors and similar.
@2Banarne2 Gorillas, the largest and strongest of all great apes, eats an exclusively vegetarian diet (with the exception of a few bugs here and there). Anatomically, humans are not designed to hunt and catch prey; we aren't designed to eat meat. That's why humans who eat meat get all kinds of debilitating diseases and cancer.
Eating meat will make you weak and lead you to an early and gruesome death.
3. Humans indeed are "designed" to hunt, our eyes are positioned the way they are because we are predators for example...Oh and we are the best friggin predators this planet has ever seen.
4.Lots of veggieheads claim eating meats cause this and that, how about proving it.
@2Banarne2 Check out some of Dr. Bill Harris' lectures on youtube. I have a few of them saved in my favorites. He's 80 something years old and has been vegan for 50 years. He still skydives, does double flips on trampolines and does stair and rope climbs. He's in better shape in his 80's than most Americans are in their twenties.
@OtherkinRaz We can digest it, but it's a slow, taxing, energy consuming process. The body's preferred fuel is carbohydrates; not protein or fat. Fruits and veggies are loaded with carbohydrates and most are relatively low in fat and protein.
With that said, we can digest human flesh just as well as any animal; we are animals too and have "meat" on our bones. Why then don't you eat some dead people and get your nutrition that way?
@1imesub I prefer animals, thank you very much. I'm a proud omnivore, though I prefer to eat meat. ;) Why, it's so delicious and eating vegan food really does not satisfy me. Believe me, I've tried. Meh. Animals taste better, I guess. To me, cattle is only food. I feel no compassion for my food.
@OtherkinRaz Meat isn't delicious; unseasoned, it smells and tastes like death, because that's what it is. It's the sauces/seasonings (from plant ingredients) that taste good. When someone is smoking meats, it's the hickory/cherry/apple wood and marinade that smells good, not the burning flesh. Ask any holocaust survivor how appetizing the smell of unseasoned burning flesh is.
If you don't care about anything, or, "feel no compassion," then what meaning/purpose can your life possibly have?
@1imesub Again, and I repeat: Cattle, to me, is food. I do not feel compassion for my food.
I have a lot of purposes in my life. :) I could care less about what others think of my diet. I have never had any health problems because of my diet. I am hardly ill at all. I like meat. I eat meat. If you've got a problem with that, oh boohoo, that's your problem. I could care less about an unintelligent vegan.
@OtherkinRaz Vegetarians, on average, have higher IQ's than those who eat death. I am more intelligent than you. If you can't accept that, boohoo, that's your problem! :)
@1imesub No. I know for a fact that that is untrue. :)
But in any case, "death" = <3. And also a natural part of life. If you don't like meat, fine. But don't push your diet in other peoples lives, thanks. I am very happy eating meat, and it will always be that way. :)
@OtherkinRaz You're the one who started commenting to me, and I'm not pushing my diet any more than you're pushing yours. Vegetarians have, on average, 5 points higher IQ's than those who consume death. It's scientifically proven, and you just can't argue with science.
@1imesub Perhaps, yet I've seen documentaries scientifically proven otherwise. :) Anyway, as I said, if you don't like meat, that's fine. But my diet consists of meat, and I'm happy about that. :)
@1imesub Okay look. I apologise. I realise that I judge too easily and that I probably should have been more understanding. I do respect vegans, I really do. It's just not...Well, my thing. I like to be an omnivore. :)
@LCHFinCanada The advanced glycation endproducts found in animal foods damage brain cells; this is scientific fact. Vegans aren't getting these A.G.E.'s from their foods and therefore are not damaging their brain cells like those who consume meat. Overtime, enough brains cells become damaged in those eating meat that they begin suffering from dementia in middle age and eventually Alzheimer's disease in old age. I just made a video on this very subject; check it out.
@1imesub Do you seriously think most AGE's come from animal food? Wow, that's ignorance.
AGE's come mostly from refined carbohydrates. You can virtually eliminate them from animal foods by cooking "low and slow".
AGE's also come from any cooked fruits/veggies that contain protein, as well as from breads and cookies.
if you’re not eating well-done meats often and are sticking to vegetables, tubers, and fruits for your carbs, you’re unlikely to be taking in dangerous level of AGEs.
@1imesub BTW any vegan that cooks their food IS getting AGE's from food. Period. To say otherwise is to not understand science.
BTW your body also produces AGE's from any glucose in your bloodstream all on it's own... I guess you hope the ignorant or uneducated won't point that out though.
Folks, there is NO health-argument for going vegan. The ONLY valid argument is an ethical one - if you don't personally believe in eating animals. And that's just a personal opinion.
@1imesub Vegans, on average, have lower IQ's than those who eat death. LOL.
BTW, this study was only in the UK. They can't replicate the same thing in the US. They tried, and in the USA there was no statistically significant differences. Did you know THAT?
I think the same way as you do... people who shove the ideologies in your face and try to force you or think they are better than most people because they are aco friendly or that theyre vegan could literally.... i dont wish harm or death on people but when time comes for fists i use them.
@1imesub im just agreeing with the dude in the vid. i dont exactly see how the meat and dairy industry gets into peoples faces... why cant we just be human beings and accept people for who they are not by what they are... MAKE LOVE... NOT.......FUCK IT JUST MAKE LOVE!!!!!
@ninjadude1021 You can't drive anywhere in America without seeing McDonald's, Burger King, etc. Billboards and signs; can't watch TV or listen to the radio for more than 15 minutes without seeing or hearing their advertisements. You can't walk into a public school cafeteria without seeing "Got Milk?" Posters all over the walls or walk out to the athletic fields and see their posters. Their propaganda is even strategically placed in the magazines kids read.
@1imesub i love animals, but i only eat chicken and fish as meats, chickens and fish out number humans, whats wrong with milk? no animals die for the process of producing milk animals do die for meat but sorry I cannot help the fact that chicens and fish taste good to me and theyre good for you plus i refuse to eat fast food Humans are omnivores not herbivores if humans were then how come every vegan i have met take supplements. I accept and respect the vegan diet. "JUST ACCEPT, RESPECT AND LOVE"
@ninjadude1021 The only supplement vegans should take is vitamin B12, and that goes for people who eat meat as well, since 40% of Americans are B12 deficient (mostly meat eaters).
That's good that you avoid red meat, but I would strongly recommend cutting back even further.
Dairy is just disgusting. 9 out of 10 dairy cows are infected with Bovine Leukemia Virus. When you drink milk, you are drinking high amounts of puss (white blood cells) and bovine leukemia disease.
@1imesub well chicken and fish are healthy for you. I have tried the vegan diet before, solid for 8 months. Just to try it, later I was checked into a hospital and the doctors told me that my body was not able to function properly with the vegan diet, probably because I was not used to the diet. The doctor told me that the veg(an/etarian) diets are not as healthy as what we're lead to believe. But I still accept and respect the veg(an/etarian) diets and veg(ans/etarians) should accept others diets.
@1imesub I do drink other alternative milks... almond, soy and rice milk but I wouldnt use them in cereals but i would use them in cooking/baking. Eggs... I only eat them because of the benefits... that and I cannot find an alternative for eggs for cooking/baking... when i was a vegan i went to a vegan market in my shopping center and I bought the foods premade or i used a cook book... but I dont know what is used as an alternative to eggs in cooking when it comes to vegan foods.
@ninjadude1021 I drank rice milk for years, but have been trying to cut back on all processed foods, including rice/almond milks. It's best to stick to plant based whole foods.
The two rules of eating healthy, according to Dr. Bill Harris, a vegan for 50 years:
1.) If it doesn't have fiber, don't eat it. (Meat and dairy products contain no fiber)
2.) If man made it, don't eat it.
I have some of Dr. Harris' best lectures saved in my favorites. Check them out, they're highly educational.

@1imesub also regarding AGE's, our body can deal with them (and does) just fine unless there's an overabundance in our system.
Most AGE's come from processed meats - which I don't eat and don't recommend anyone does.
But that being said, roasted almonds, cashews or walnuts have more AGE's (two to three times the amount, in fact) than a cooked 6oz burger.
Meat isn't the culprit, caramelization is. Look it up instead of believing in people's fear-mongering tactics.
