  • I think Chuck Norris would be abled to avoid the colission ...

  • way to windy to bring a ship that size in to port .....captain and pilot must have rocks in there heads ...tug boats way to small for that job to ,,,hhhhhmmmmm

  • someone got fired

  • thats what you get with low power tugs , and stupid tug masters, pusing in the middle!, instead of front or aft!, can push al you want, but you need horses here when you push in the middle!

  • FUCK tourkey

  • I think someone had a bad day.....

  • Skip to 4:15. Thank me later.

  • too much wind from the seaward side was too much for these tiny tugs to over come. looks like the tug in front didn't allow the inboard tug to move up closer to the bow. if this had been done the tugs would have had a ready escape route and this wouldn't have happened. thankfully no one appears to have been hurt and i am sure after a little repair time the tug returned to service.

  • Don't do this at home kiddies, we're professionals.

  • treis bien

  • Tug too small and underpowered,

  • Constanta port's small tugs ...

We have worry for that case on constanta port maneuvering

  • Bridge crew watching football on tv?

  • 4:20

  • no chance in hell bringing it i nstraight with that kinda wind

  • Debussy is 300 m long and 40 m wide. Port regulations call for tugs having a total of at least 14,400 hp to move boats longer than 250m. In this case the three tugs had a total hp of 4800 hp.

  • On March 8, 2010, around 16, container vessel "CMA CGM Debussy, French flag, was involved in an accident. During the move from berth 123 to berth 115, "CMA CGM Debussy" hit the ship "Haci Fatma Sari, stationed in berth 114, and the tug" Vadeni ", participating in maneuvers. No human casualties or signs of pollution. Debussy vessel safely moored in berth 115. The case was taken up by the research department of the Captaincy Zonal constant for the causes that led to the production of collision.

  • @barcombehall PLYMOUTH !!!!!! ENGLISH FLAG !!!!!

  • @racerboat56 True - merchant ships are often registered in a country different than that of the ship's owners, usually to save money or avoid certain regulations and so fly the flag of that country. The flag on the Debussy is actually Greek not French as the maritime news quote I copied stated.

  • @barcombehall ;-)

  • everytime that freighter sinks a tug they paint the word tug on the side. lol.

  • tugboat captain win! stopped his boat from capsizing............

  • The action starts @3:25

  • Jesus christ, to much throttle and the tuggers cant have mutch of a voice teamwork or they maby just dont have tallent neither skills to drive...

  • @zingo90 looks extremely windy also.........

  • lol I though they put the tires on the side of the tugboat in order to avoid that... Didnt work this time

  • 何でそうなるの?

  • @oyoshi400 yeah sure !?!?!?

  • seems VERY DUMB to be in the bight. I've never seen tugs operating inside a landing boat, lol.

  • Turkiye - Turkiye - Turkiye! You can be proud of...

  • The old pilot is fired ?

Contianer a ship is not a car you can just parking.

The new pilot can take lessons in ship simulator at the Port of Rotterdam

  • One totalled tug with complements of CMA CGM.., was this tug taking on water after being crushed against the dock..? Guess there were just to little sufficient powerful tugs available in this hard wind situation...

  • cool

  • I do not understand why in the hell would the harbor tug be in the inside while docking or undocking. I would have been on the port side of that ship. no matter who or what pilot wanted me inbetween a ship and a dock.. what an asshole captain!! you need to come on down and run a boat in the mississippi river.. youd know where not to be brotha.. you put your crew and yourself in a deathly situation. id fire you ass!!

  • looks like the qualifications to drive mans largest creations isnt to elite

  • Who was at fault?

  • @ems97219 The tugboats i think

  • OS:This is onstar my name is Karin how can I help you?

Cpt: Yhar I got side swipped!!!!

OS: Ok can you give the description of the vehicle?

Cpt: Ok, it was big and blue and the plates read CKA COM DEBUSSY and its make is Plymouth.

  • @Jaket2000 -Cpt: Yhar, I just got me a glance at that ship's master. Yharrrr, blast me boots! I shoulda known it was that scoundrel Capn' Sparrow agin! Kraken must've spit im out! I'll turn Sparrow ta squid bait when I get me hooks on im!

  • co za asy !

  • "bizim baglantilar tuttu römorkörü" hacı heryerdeyiz amq.

  • Big ass container ship 1 : Tugboats 0

  • did he died?

  • reminds me of my first wife

  • @whynidge Why? She was the containership and you the tug boat? :))

  • Shity weather, shity tugs, shity port and finally... shity situation.

  • Setting sail for Fail

  • Hmmm.. and were Class advised? lol The Incident report in the ISM would've made interesting reading.. but as usual... "Vessel to Pilot's Advice.. Master's Orders"

  • wow...just as well those tugs have those sturdy tyres as protection huh?

  • at 08:09 explains it all.

  • @peterelliotpeter thats wind lol.

  • @peterelliotpeter Thank you, sir.

  • Plymouth...

  • i have been to constanta many times and its very very tight turn and for big ship like this tug support is mandatory! any failure and boom you go crushing other things

  • GM crushing the competition

  • can anyone with marine experience in ships answer this? Obviously the captain has to get weather info before departing however depending on the wind factor I thought there would be some sort of a calculation that must be made to determine how many tugs are required to safely depart a vessel of this size? Obviously the captain here did not make that calculation, if there are not enough tugs it really is at the mercy of the wind.

  • @sexyguyxxx12 or should I say mooring not departing?

  • LOL @ everyone acting like they know what they're talking about.

  • this has nothing to do with race just poor training and seamanship

  • this happens when poeple don't know their jobs, and when they underestimate the power of nature

  • Strong wind, large sail surface, underpowered tugs on starboard side and I'm guessing, no tug with tow winch on the port side. They should' ve aborted waaay sooner, it was clearly going wrong from the start.

  • Yeah turkish captains are shit...never was and never will be able to control a ship...

  • @Gegerys hitting ship is cma cgm marseille company and moored vessel is turkish ship, how could you expect moored ship to avoid other one???? any idea about seamanship????

  • @parcallo it was avoidable...

  • @Gegerys avoidable but not by moored ship!!!

  • lol

  • For sale: one tugboat...minor collision damage on both port and starboard sides. Otherwise perfect.

  • For sale: one tugboat...minor collision damage on both sides. Otherwise perfect.

  • fucking indians...people with no tradition in shipping...just go pick a banana and leave this to the professionals, like Greeks, English and Scandinavians

  • wel ? same skipper we had no dought .capitano never leaves ship .thers loyalty for ya .paul mv rover t captain helmut smit/1978 plymouth uk

  • in 22 years of tug work i've never seen a stupid thing like this! a container carrier like that requires at least 5000 hp to be successfully pushed in case of a side wind stronger than 30 knts. Those two tugs seem far less powerful than that. Ship's captain and harbor pilot had their eyes and brains turned off...

  • I like how the big boat let us know it was a tug boat under it at 6:58

  • Far out !... those poor little tugs were going flat out....huge ship too....

  • I dont understand, what are they trying to do?

  • Ce pavilion are containerul ala? What pavillion has Debussy Plymouth?[flag]

  • i mine opinion , underpower tug at the stb side and also the master should had antisipate and safe his own vessel by moving away also the wetaher played a critical role, but correct me if im wrong the ports side door was open wrongggg once it star taking water your going down!!

  • I wonder what they were shouting other than "they that damn ship away from mine!" It could have been a lot worse if that ship nailed the corner of the pier.

  • 6:48 TUG-we can work that out

  • i think a few people were hittin the vodka a lil too hard.....two tugs are fine comrad,,,,,wind... what wind....lool

  • I think yurgo down there takes himself too seriously

  • what a fuckign idiot try to drive! :D

  • I feel like shouting........

    "No, you're OTHER right!"

  • In Soviet Russia Harbor pilots save much time & repetitive labor by driving ship directly to warehouse.

  • .....and the guy recording doesnt give a shit!

  • @77gerald77 what should he do then.....?? Push the other ship away....?? He is not Chuck Norris............

  • @jimmy69691000 As if Chuck would have made a difference. ..and wether he can or not do something,he could have given a shit. There are lives involved.

  • @77gerald77 Chuck Norris ALWAYS makes the difference, and maybe he did give a shit you just dont know that do you maybe he was filming this to show people so it does not happen again. Maybe your being too judgmental, give the guy some credit for standing steadfast in such a tough situation as Chuck Norris would.....

  • @jimmy69691000 Guess i`m gonna have to watch some of that Chuck action....me and that guy filiming that doesnt give a shit. Maybe you`re living in Disney, but chances are that the guy was only recording for insurance purposes. Do you have Chucks number by any chance?? I got a few bits and pieces i havent finished around the house .......do you think he can make a diference there??

  • @jimmy69691000 maybe chuck norris didnt like the container ship driver...

  • damn... if you'r handling such inmense power and weight... PLEASE BE CAREFULL!!!! other people can be killed by your errors!

  • i would sack every single one of them before they get the chance to scratch another boat or kill people..if this was a gas tanker..?

  • @jonicharlie nothing? look at the container ship. No damage. The tug prevented the container ship to hit the quay. It played very expensive buffer ;)

  • @methanbreather No damage? Nah, it squeeeeeek-cratchchchchced the ship the cameraman was on. Check from 4:33 on.

  • At what point does the tug Captain say, "Shit, this is gonna get ugly!"?

  • Was this in Romania?

  • What a cockup tugs underpowerd for the job and on the wrong side.

  • it was a student driver cut him some slack

  • Well there's your problem... forgot to set the parking brake :P

  • mai 393284.....si restul uitate mai bine ce pavilioane au arborate impingatoarele implicate

  • the guy with the camera needs to shut the fuck up and learn how to point the camera at what is happening and hold still

  • Those mooring lines got pretty tight when the tug rammed the wharf good to see the landing gang run towards the edge of the wharf they could have all been cut in half if it snapped and seriously what in hell where those tugs doing on that side anyway?

  • ma ce zici ca e in costanta...

  • Comment removed

  • That's pretty pathetic! The tug had shitloads of time to get out of the way. Fuck the pilot, the tug skipper should have used a bit of initiative!
